Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The woman looks over and sighs.
"You have lenses, too?"

 

“Probably. Haven’t messed with microscopes in a while.”

 

There don't appear to be any listed, oddly.

 

"Well, if you get it to work, then that's everything."

She sighs, returning the book and heading back to the storeroom.

 

“Right. I’ll be back, then.”
Voidfiller falls into a portal with the microscope, the portal quickly closing behind him.
“Should we start moving back to the respite?”

 

Ali hears a door close as she enters, though it sounds like a small door.

 

"Please, and if you could spare me a few taser carts that'd be great."
"Sure."
"Not like we have anything else to run for."

She pauses.
"...Hello?"

 

I'll settle in the cabin.

 

“Let’s get going, then.”
I start heading my way back up.

 

There's no response, though Ali can sense a presence in the room.

 

Ali glances around nervously, intentionally keeping distance from the house as she looks for the two plants she took note of.

The three follow you, the woman tinkering with her watch.

Lay down in bed or clear the dirt off the chair and sit down?

 

Ali can see the grain she needed near to the bonsai tree garden.

There's a creaking sound, before a slam.

 

She jumps, glancing around nervously.

 

It sounds like the slam came from the bonsai tree garden.

 

She glances towards the tree garden, stepping away from it.

 

The door on the house is closed, a few bits of dust floating around it.

 

She leaves the room quickly, slamming her kitchen door behind her.

 

Ali's left in the busy kitchen, people hurrying about and preparing food.

 

"Hey! Don't destroy my clothes, thank you very much."

 

She looks for her personal kitchen, still a bit jumpy.

I don't think they understand you. If they do, they're ignoring you.

It lets out a purr of sorts before the one on your lap starts to crawl up its sibling's back, part of the pile tumbling onto your lap behind it and sending both of the other dragonlings off the other side.
