Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Hmm?" He asks, mouth full.

Ali points towards the forge.
"I'd ask the other smiths myself, but I can barely breathe."

"You could try gathering rocks, but they'd probably try to bite them."

 

"Oh, right. It's hotter for everyone else." The smith says, glancing back at the forge.

 

"Yeah... by a lot."

 

"If it keeps them busy, then that's fine."
He raises his shoulders.

 

"Well... I'd rather them not have rocks going through their insides, but if you can find something to entertain them, I'll be grateful."

 

"I've worked in hotter forges." The smith laughs.

 

"A pleasure to meet you. I am Aradius Tristun, seer and adviser to the kingdom of Baradion. It is a pleasure to meet you, majesty."

 

"Could I see them? I want to know what I'm working with."

 

“Found the last ‘a you. She’s gone off to do somethin’, though.”

 

"I hear one draconian smith worked in a star."

"Go ahead, you've seen where they are. Or, at least, how to get there?"

"A seer? I didn't know there was one. The pleasure's all mine."

"A'ight... We movin?"

 

“Once you’re done eating.”

 

"The first elvish seer in 20 years, to be precise. It's a title I hold very highly. Now, this is your kingdom?"

I gesture to the city below us

 

"Man, I wish I could even get into a star." The smith says.

 

Without saying anything, he slowly approaches the deeper part of the cave.

 

"No... but if your elder permits, I'll bring you into my throne room."

"If you empowered someone, maybe."

You can hear scrambling, the occasional chirp, and a few growls.

"Shweet..."
He goes back to stuffing his mouth full of bread.

 

I turn to the elder

"Reiglynn, I'll trust you'll allow me to go to Erevne's court, correct?"

 

It’s soft bread, so it’s pretty easy to fit an entire roll in his mouth without choking.
Voidfiller just waits.

 

He whistles into the dragonlings' direction.

 

"Under the terms that you go, I go."
"Of course. It'll save my guard from having to find me again anyways." She shrugs. "Let me know when you two are ready to go. No blindfolds."

They all turn to you, three of them stopping in the middle of wrestling with each other.

Five minutes later, he hands the empty bag and tie back.
"Thnnks."

 

“No problem.”
Voidfiller takes a bag and shoves it down a portal, which quickly disappears.
“Let’s get moving.”
He starts walking to get to the top of the ramp.
