Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

He smiles and then continues sleeping.

 

A keyboard appears at the bottom of the screen with common letters on it. Two strange looking letters seem to be on buttons at the top of the keyboard, however.

 

“It’s been a bit of time.”

 

You fall back asleep easily and left alone to sleep.

...you wind up being out for almost an entire day.

"They're still hardly used to it."

She enters the first ID into the search bar.

 

"Had that coming. How long has it been since the last time you slept?"
He sits up straight and looks around.

 

A book comes up in the search results titled: "The Realm of Shadow's: A vistor's guide.", apparently written by someone called P. Summers. The search results seem to work in a similar fashion to the homepage, Ali needing to tap on the book to get more information.

 

“...I’ll see what I can do, then.”

 

I'll leave the notebook there.

 

Anne's still asleep, the wyvern sitting with the other dragon and his spouse.

Ali taps on the book icon, then looks for a way to get the physical book.

"One other suggestion... the queen is alive but not handling the loss well. We can't afford to lose them both."

Do you want to leave the pen there, while you're at it?

 

Ali notices a green button at the bottom of the screen that reads "Retrieve"

 

Ali presses it, curious.

 

The book appears right next to the computer in one of the machines, a glass door opening for it to be retrieved.

 

Ali takes it and starts reading through it.


Ihra links with Artemis.
"I hear you convinced Ali to apply for the job at the Shadow Palace?"

 

The book details many parts of Shadow culture, how they act and what not to do around them, as well as some of the dangers one can face when exploring the realm, both in cities and the wild.


"Yes, Aj told me she wanted a job there and he said he'd sort her out a room and kitchen area." Artemis says happily.

 

She focuses more on what not to do around them.


"Well, that's really nice! Plus, I bet even the chefs there could learn a thing or two from her. Getting her to a safer place is also probably a really good idea."
Pause.
"...But that aside, Gaia's still here and was hoping to talk with you, now that the Abigail fiasco is aside."


Emerald links to the king and queen of light.
"I've gathered my sister's things, and I was also wondering if you would be so kind as to give her remains a safe and peaceful resting place. Is now a bad time to send them over?"

 

A lot of what not to do around Shadows appears to revolve around light and light magic, though the book lists that certain types of light and specialised light magic doesn't hurt them, nor are they affected by symbolism of light.


"Oh, yes, Abigail. I spoke to Stephanie about that after Aj told me my necklace apparently stole her soul half from him. Apparently it's possible for Abigail to be revived, but we have no idea where she is." Artemis says.


"Not at all. Would you like us to create a grave for her?" Solus asks.

 

Ali seems relieved, looking for anything else "not to do" that doesn't involve light.


"...What's in your necklace?"


"If you're willing, I would appreciate that."

 

Some of the things that don't involve light are attempting to bind Shadows to contracts without doing the ritual, trying to steal from Shadows, attempting to attack a Shadow with the intention of harm, and being cruel to dark faeries or attempting to capture them in the presence of Shadows. All of these are listed as leading to almost certain death.


"Well, Aj's just has an enchantment that links it to mine so we can always find each other and telepathically communicate, as well as causing it to fuse with mine when close. I don't understand how it could have stolen anything." Artemis says.

"Do you have any pictures or artwork of her that we could use?" Lielia asks.

 

“...What’s your suggestion?”

 

Ali looks for anything else.


"Hum... maybe your death guardian side could trace the soul?"


"Of her, no... but I have all of her puppets, even the ones she used in battle."
