Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

That probably wouldn't make their parents thrilled, though as long as you're in your spirit body, you'd sort of go right through them.

"Assuming you don't cut them clean off, I'd appreciate it if you let the others go as well."

She winds up just leaving, strolling aimlessly around the city.

"The crystals are the underground's sky and stars. Such a shame that most will never see the real ones..."
Reiglynn takes a few steps forward before hanging her tail over a sheer cliff.
"Come, you can see one of the cities from here."

If you've no interest in the rest of it, no sense holding onto the notebook.
Or, at least, no sense holding on to those pages.

 

Ali finds a few homeless people as she wanders the city, cups and other containers near them as they sit where they are. Quite a few people seem to be in the city, making it slightly harder for Ali to navigate.

 

"I'm not going to try it."
He heads back to the others.

 

She offers them small dinner rolls, then tries to figure out where the bulk of the crowds are going to and from.

Everyone's still fast asleep, Anne and the wyvern finally stopping snoring.

 

The homeless people seem greatly appreciative. Most of the crowds seem to be coming from the center of town, heading into shops or just walking around chatting to friends.

 

Ali, a bit put off by the crowd, opts to head back up to the palace.

 

The guards open the gates for Ali once she reaches them.

 

She stops anyways.
"Do you know if the Realm of Light uses the same currency people use here and on Earth?"

 

"They do." The guard says.

 

"Wow... that's awfully convenient. But, uh... does the library contain any books about currency denominations and the culture of shadows and guardians?"

 

"I believe so, you'll need to check." The guard says.

 

"I don't, so don't worry."
I crouch down, looking at how to approach the situation.

 

"I think it's time to switch."
He walks over to his body and touches his forehead.

 

Stepping forward towards the cliff, I look around for one of the cities.

 

You just need to look down, buildings made of stone and mud standing as strong as any other... though it's a bit discomforting looking at a five story drop.

You wake with a bit of a start, the chill of the cave returning to your senses.

He's bound by a mud-and-rock mixture, it seems. The ruin weakens its strength slightly, but not enough to make much of a difference.

Ali nods.
"Thanks."
She heads inside and looks for a palace map and the library. If there isn't one near the entry, she heads for an elevator and looks for the combination to the library.

 

There seems to be a elevator dial code to the library in the elevator, though quite far in to the book.

 

Ali inputs the code, though she thinks it'd be a bit closer to the front.

 

Ali is teleported to a large library. Far from as large as the void palace library, but still pretty big. Bookshelves line the walls and areas of the interior, while there seems to be a row of odd yet new looking machines and computers near the front desk.

 

"Don't make any sudden movements."
I say, pulling out my hammer.

 

"Time to transform."
He quickly transforms so that he won't get too cold.
