Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She scans them for any extra enchants or anything of the sort.
"If you turned my sister, I'm going to kill every last one of you..." Emerald growls.


"Thanks."
Ali looks for the dial combination to the robotics lab then turns the dials accordingly.

Confusion practically vanishes.
"That's neat."
"Maybe we could use those as a new way to keep track of who's who?"
"We don't know how to tell the differences, though..."

Pause.
"Wait... did you say four people left?"
"Should we send someone to round them up?"

 

There seems to be a note below Sapphire's remains, though there are no enchantments or hexes on them.


Ali is teleported to the robotics lab, various engineers working on projects. Eve's room lies at the back of the lab, the sign above it reading "STATUS: IN MEETING."

 

"That'd probably be good. Go, now."
I hurry.

 

She reads the note through her projection.


Ali approaches the least-busy-looking person.
"Is the king still here?"

The five people nearest the door glance at each other, nod, and one gives you a thumbs up as they storm out.

 

The note reads:
"This was found in the passage between our worlds.
We assume it belongs to you."


"Hm? Oh, yes, he's with Eve." One of the air guardian engineers says.

 

"Damn straight it does..." She sighs, putting Sapphire's remains in a different box.


"Do you have any idea when he'll be done with his meeting?"

 

"Now, this'll be a bit tricky to really pull off."
I continue, standing up.
"See, I don't have any of the things used to document, take, and match fingerprints. I know a person who can help us, though."
I say, putting my finger to the base of my ear.

 

The white box remains where it is; it appears to just be a normal box.


"No, but you can go and see him if you like." The air guardian engineer says.

 

Confusion ensues once again.
"...Who?"

Emerald glares at it before throwing it into a disintegration zone.


"You sure that won't interrupt him too much?"

 

The box is destroyed.


The air guardian engineer shakes her head.

 

"Voidfiller."
There's a pause as I start looking towards the king.
"How much do you know about forensics?"
Another pause. It's a bit longer.
"Good. Plans canceled. Meet me in Maralune, outside the castle. You've seen it before?"
Pause.
"Now, would be good. See you there."
My finger comes off my head as I turn back to the group.

 

"Well... I've never been in this room before, so I don't know... well, just about anything, other than I'm guessing Eve's back there in a meeting."

"...What kind of name is that?"

 

"Just head in, the door is unlocked." The air guardian engineer says.

 

Ali nods.
"Thanks..."
She heads up to the door, looking for a handle or something else that would open a door.

 

The door opens automatically once Ali gets close enough, myself and Eve chatting inside, a table with drawings on between us.

 

"One that identifies a person. And that's probably made up by a child. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if that's actually the case."

 

A bit confused, she stops a fair distance away, a bit nervous.

Pause.
"If that child thing was the case, that'd make sense."
The rest of the group just seems to be trying to forget Voidfiller's name.

 

Eve immediately notices Ali, turning to look at her, which draws my attention.

"Oh, hey Ali." I say, smiling.

 

"Hi... uh, I spoke with Artemis a bit and was wondering if you'd still be willing to have me as a chef here."

 

"I best go meet him out front. I'll be right back."
I start making my way towards the door.
