How Does Party Xp Work??

first off is this a thing i randomly came up with in my sleep?? idk and tell me if it is please.

My brother wants me to level up his name and i was thinking of using a party to do that because it would be quick i thought, but i dont know how quick that is or if it even is a thing.

If it is i really want to know how effective it is, and if works really far away from the other person.
And its 1:45 am when im typing this and if im a bit stupid its because of that,
and this was supposed to be a quick little off the forums question buuut it turned into this.

you get like 10% of the xp of the mobs a party member killed in a certain range.

You forgot to say that you don't get XP if you don't kill.

 

I'm 99% sure that i got xp without killing mobs in a grind party.

 

You get xp if you land a blow on the enemy AND it is killed, regardless of distance. I have hit enemies in Legendary Island, died, and gotten xp while waiting in llevigar because the other people I was with (not in a party) killed the mob. You get the amount of XP listed on the floating indicator. If the indicator also says "SHARED", then that was given to 1 or more players too. Sharing xp happens regardless of using the party system. When 2 or more players attack an enemy, SHARE xp should be given to both players. I'm not sure how xp% bonus affects it, so don't ask. HOWEVER, when in a party, any mob killed by you or your party members contributes xp to everyone in the group, I believe. I will do some testing to find out this morning.
EDIT: just confirmed this
