nobody will ever fucking buy discoverers because for that price they could just buy everything they'd ever need and not have to worry about grinding for money.

 

Technically it has potential to give more than 25 stacks in the long run, but it's what the buyer wants I guess.

yes i know it increases the number of items you get, but after a while it barely increases it. once you hit the cap, a 135% discoverer translates into 27% loot bonus (anything above 80(?) loot bonus only adds 1% for every 5%), so yeah youre gonna get 5 items instead of 4 but i doubt that would ever pay the 25 stacks lmao. at that point its just better to save the 25 stacks and grind for 25% longer and make the same profit.

you misread what JP said. the first 80% Loot Bonus on gear translates into 50% actual difference in loot. After that loot bonus adds 1% for every 5% on armor. Not lootbonus%/5=actual LB wtf. Just you are known for shitposting doesn't mean you are never in the wrong. By wearing this piece alone, the diminishing returns threshold is broken and you can get ~61% (137-80=57 57/5=11.4 actual% first 80%=50% due to the soft caps, therefore 11.4% actual + 50% actual).
If this item was used with a full LB set (like any sane person would do) the potential "actual" loot bonus after hitting all the soft caps and not using Rarity, old keepers, or knuckle bones is easily 100%. Also, loot bonus on mob drops affects RARITY, not # of Items = probably more mythics according to logic. It's just a theory, but yea.

1. Why would anybody ever use a Discoverer without other loot bonus gear? What a waste. Also, I never said I was never wrong lmao
2. 306% vs 399% translates to 95.2% vs 113.8%. This is an 18.2% difference. Which is closer to 1/5th. Which is worse than I thought.
3. Mythic Drop Chances aren't affected by loot bonus, even on mobs.
