Mage/Dark Wizard Help A Good Hive Wand Build

I'm currently thinking with the hive wand since I know I can get it easily, or rather I know that I'll be able to get it for sure soon... ofc with Slayer in the plans I also will eventually make an endgame build and for that I will use Gaia..
But, Like all mythics, Gaia&Slayer are a bit pricey for my current situation.. I am also looking for a replacement for Slayer in the build as well currently that'll still be good..
To get Gaia and Slayer Imma need money and my strategy is currently a pre-endgame gear that will be good for the map exploring I want to do and being a general class..

 

why u wanna use hive wand so much tbh the armor is better imo cuz you can find easy enough replacements for hive weapons but most armor dont rly have that suitable alternatives. also just use spell mage its legit so much easier

 

I've seen alot of people using spell damage mages but I find constantly fighting with button combos and mana draining a bit of an annoying thing for some reason..
I dont like how meteor constantly drains the ability to heal,tp,slow down others but most importantly, run..
I might do a spell damage mage later down the line, But after much thinking I have come to decide that this mage will be a melee mage which I find more casual..

 

if you have like 10+ mr and like 129 intel you'll be fine
you can spam to your hearts content
just use ice snake-meteor combo
they reset each others mana costs and meteor takes time to land so you wont be doing it so fast you run out of mana in two seconds

 

Still, its that 2nd energy bar..
I already made up my mind tho about melee-ing this class... thats why I wont reconsider about spells build(although I know its great)..
