The roaring creature gets closer. It looks like...

The beast sprints on four legs closer, but suddenly, it stops. It dashes towards the fallen beehive, grabs it, and starts eating it.

 

I run away. Athletics is 19+3=22, stealth is 16+3=19

 

Moving stealthily through dense forest does not make for quick running, but you start trying to anyway. The bear doesn't notice you.

 

@Oskhol1, @HMTN, are either of you reacting to spotting the bear thing?

You don't remember studying anything like this, but by seeing it, you can infer:

• A. It looks a lot like a bear.
• B. It's extremely dangerous.
• C. It likes honey.

The bear, or whatever it is, looks at you and roars.

...Roll for initiative.

Maybe fleeing is an option.

 

That's exactly what I'm doing. I'm going to continue: Athletics is 14+3=17, stealth is 8+3=11. In case the "bear" sees me I look it in the eyes and try to scare it off with my axe: Intimidation is 13+1=14.
