Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

He looks at the cave.
"Well.. let's go inside I guess?"

 

"Can you get your girl to light the way?"
Anne yawns.
"Can I just nap through this?"
"No, not really."
"Ugh, fiine." She mumbles, tails igniting as she looks down into the cave.

The wyvern pauses.
"We can either go in, or wait for him to realize that his cave's open."

 

"Or just yell and wait for his reaction."

 

"He's deaf, that won't do much."

 

"We can wait a bit and see if he comes out. If he doesn't, we'll just go in ourselves."

 

"That makes two votes for waiting for him to come out."
"It's cold up here, anyways..." Anne complains, igniting her entire body.

 

"Oh please, you can warm yourself."
He waits.

 

“Don’t worry about repaying me.”

 

"It's hard to take that seriously. We practically owe the small luxuries we now have to you."

The heat from Anne's fire keeps you warm as well.

The wyvern curls up partway around Anne, acting as a bit of a windblock for the occasional breeze.

 

Katie tries to catch the water as it leaks to stop it from spilling on the floor, but ends up almost making herself pass out in the process.


Myria embraces it calmly.

 

“Wow, it’s almost like my sole purpose of existence is help people.”
I say dryly.
“Don’t get me wrong, the help would be appreciated, but don’t help me just because you might owe me.”

 

"It is taking some time. Do you think he'll come outside?"

 

"Did the winds have a reason for forsaking the Genesians? That doesn't seem to be a normal thing to happen."

 

"I see. Thank you." Terrae says, watching the Fae work.

 

A water sprite pushes its way out of the box, more water leaking everywhere.
"Ugh, you had to vanish that long? I was hoping to get out of there weeks ago..." She complains, flying using wings that resemble tiny typhoons before looking Katie over.
"Geez, what happened to you?"

The fae you spoke to does nothing but flutter down to the bottom of the tree and look at it, and minutes later, all of the other fae do the same in silence.

"I don't think so. None of the other elders reported anything sinful they had done, but... Ragnyon told me something that makes so much sense and instills so much fear into me."
Pause.
"Do you know the name of your true goddess?"

"He'll get cold in a few more minutes, then come storming out and try to attack you until I cover his face with a certain potion."
He shows you a dark green liquid in a vial.
"It's his way of knowing it's me. Nothing I can do about it, since it's hard to talk reason with a deaf fool."

"Well, clearly you're capable of your intended task." He snickers. "And believe me, I'm not just helping you because I owe you. I'm considering it for the sake of what you could've done."

 

Terrae is going to portal back to his quarters.
"My, my, things have been a bit slow lately. Perhaps I should start a new campaign." He says to himself.

 

Emerald seems to be waiting for you in your throne room.
"Actually, I believe it's due time you picked a side." She says, looking out the windows instead of at you.

 

"That's a weird way of greeting someone. But if it works, who am I to judge?"
He steps back a little.
"Should I step back?"

 

"Yeah, if I were you I'd probably hide behind the tree."
You can hear footsteps coming closer from inside the cave. If you're going to move, better do it now.

 

"Please, I encourage you to give me a rebriefing on the two sides. I'd like to mak an informed decision."
