"Graves? Interesting." Terrae comments looking around for someone who looks like they were working on the tree.

 

There are hundreds of fae still swarming the tree. Take your pick.

 

"Very much so. Now, shall we fly to visit the elder?"

 

Terrae goes to the nearest one.
"Ahem, pardon me, but I have a question regarding the ornaments on this tree."

 

“Maybe. You’d need to talk to Emerald about it.”

 

"I'll consider it. I already have my hands full here..."

They glance at you before darting away in fear.
Other faeries glance at you before giving you space as well, but one approaches you.
"This about the graves?" They ask, mildly irritated.

Solis nods.
"Get on my back, hope Nemmek isn't too jealous, and don't hold on too tight."

Nemmek snorts in response.

 

"Yes, I was wondering what they all have in common."

 

Artemis hugs me, holding back tears.

Katie accepts it, but almost drops it in the process from how weak she is.

 

"They all died, duh. Obvious things aside, our homeworld just got burnt to the ground. Anyone in an ornament died a week or two ago at the latest."

Petunia looks at Artemis sadly, Katie's present starting to unwrap itself.


Myria sees the tip of a feather amidst complete darkness.
"Are you satisfied with your last words?"

 

"Slow down would you?"

 

"Ah, I see. And what might be the cause of this mass death?"

 

The faerie just glares at you.
"...Did you miss the first part of that sentence?"

"Right, sorry."

The wind in your face is a bit chilling, but Anne's warmth is finally becoming really really nice.

Once the wyvern lands near the tree, he starts poking around at its roots.

 

"Yes, I did. I am asking for the source of the fire."

 

Bardock climbs down.
"Should I search for some caves?"

 

"It's alright Nemmek. You shall remain my mount for more conventional travel."

I get on to solis' back

"Onwards to the elder!"

 

“Alright. Take your time.”
I get up.
“And, I won’t be disappointed if you think it’s a bad idea. I understand.”

 

Katie looks at the present curiously.


"Yes, thank you." Myria says.

 

I'll walk up to one of them.
"You look down in the pits. Something happened?"

 

"Hive Master."

They glare at you before backing up a bit.
"What, you trying to play the sweet succubus before you kill your prey?"

Something's bumping around in the box, and after a moment, a bit of water starts to leak from the top.


"I hope you find your eternal slumber peaceful, Othersoul..."
Myria slips into unconsciousness, then nothingness.

"I do think it's a bad idea, but I need to repay you." He sighs.

The wyvern pushes on the tree, and it quickly falls, uproots and reveals a cave below.
"Heh... maybe he's getting smarter."

Solis takes off, Ragnyon waving at you and Nemmek watching you fly off.

The wind in your face, the smooth gliding, the view... you wonder why you don't fly more often.
"It should be a ten minute flight, so... if you have any more questions, now's the time."
