BTW, how many daggers are useful for combat or as a tool?

 

Three are sharp enough to be weapons, and one of the remaining two could be used to cut stuff.

Are you proficient in daggers?

 

If it's a simple or martial weapon, yes.

 

Simple weapon.

Proficiency bonus + Strength or Dexterity modifier (whichever is higher) + any other modifiers you may have, such as enchantments = total to-hit modifier.
