Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

“Well, we’ve got an entire war of our own going on. We’re fighting against a man called the Hive Master, someone who targets gods in order to mind control them. Emerald was wondering if you could spare any troops.”

 

"Of course." Terrae says, opening a portal to the palace.

 

"I see. How would I reach her? I fear I only have a few days before my time runs out."

 

Outside in the gardens is a giant holiday tree, fae flying about decorating it.

"Well, promise not to stab me and I might fly you there myself." Solis chuckles.

 

Terrae continues on to Xlentia's room and knocks on the door.

 

Xlentia pushes it open, clad in extremely heavy (and very well painted) armor.
"Hello there! I suppose I can't call you little mortal, can I?" She giggles, grinning.

 

"As long as I keep my wits about, we should be fine," I laugh out.

"So, when would you like to depart?"

 

Artemis looks into the abyss curiously.


"What is it you ask of me?" Myria asks.

 

Wisps dance around, forming a vague ring.


"Part with your daughter once and for all, and let yourself live on not in spirit, but in legend."

"Now, if you'd like." Solis offers.

 

"Sounds good. Then we'll have a place to stay until things quiet down."

 

"I mean, it'd be safer to come back to the alchemist's den, but there's a better chance you'll find your pack out in the mainland."

 

"What about all the people on the island where you all live?"

 

"Glad to see you're still doing well, Miss Xlentia." Terrae says, bowing as a greeting.

 

"Storm's not heading that way. Not with all the enchantments there."

"Even better now that I'm myself again. Also helps to be showered with gifts in time for the holidays."

 

"Right. I should have come here with a present for you as well. It seems that the holiday season has completely gone out of my mind lately. In fact it seems lots of things have been out of my mind lately. It's like I wasn't even in my own mind."
Terrae clears his throat.
"But I digress. How has it been lately? Have there been any interesting events for me to take note of?"

 

"Well that does make it a good place to take cover from the storm."

 

"Then I shall. I am willing to face the null, my time has ended." Myria says.

 

"Plenty. A group of little mortals have made a lot of progress in their fight against the Hive Master, even so much as managing to slip Gaia from his clutches."

"Yeah... leave it to magic to keep the weather in check."

Artemis' view of the wisps slowly form into Myria's soul.

Myria can see Artemis through the tip of a spectral feather, though she is also being drawn in.

 

"How much further until we arrive at your friend's place?"

 

The wyvern glances ahead at the mountains.
"Mmm... we should be pretty close. He said he left a marker out on a nearby peak, but that's all the detail I got out of him."
