“Well, they’d be taking up each other’s rescorces as well.”

 

"Yeah the big island. With Aurilon and the forest on it."

 

"That's called a continent, not an island."

"So... fewer people, more for everyone left?"

 

“Precisely.”

 

She seems confused.
"S-so, you're saying that he doesn't really give people back their free will when he's done with them?"

 

"I'm just happy to know they are save atleast. Do you maybe know where they went?"

 

"Huh... that'd be why soldiers didn't immediately turn on us."

 

I shake my head.

"I'm...sorry to be saying this, but I don't think he'd ever let you know what he was really doing. He might tell you he lets people go, he doesn't let anyone get hurt, and he just wants to get rid of the bad people, but he's most likely just saying that because he cares about you and doesn't want you knowing that he's actually kind of a bad person himself," I say, before trying to lighten the mood, "If anything, that's a good thing though, because so far you've turned out a wonderful person."

 

She seems even more confused, but just nods and smiles.
"T-thanks... and, uh... can you bring the others here? I h-have more gifts this time..."

"I saw them head towards the mountains, but I don't know where they went from there."

 

I whistle, motioning the others over.

"Oh, who's this?" Aeris asks, curious as she approaches.

 

“I guess so. Desperation to survive does a lot to people.”

 

"Into the deeper forest? Ugh... never been there."

 

Petunia seems a bit intimidated by everyone coming over at once, but waves at Aeris before going for a star-print wrapped box. She winds up knocking the pile over, tipping the sled.

The gift slides over a bit towards Aeris.

"I don't know how they fare because the locals are pretty territorial, but they should be safe."

"Clearly... I still think it's weird that they'd panic when exposed to ruin. We've been out here in it for a long time."

 

"Okay, good. And did you by any chance see my pack?"

 

Aeris picks the gift up using a whirling eddie.

"Need some help with that?" Tirra asks, trying to telekinetically reverse the pile being knocked over.

 

“There’s a lot of differences between you and the humans that makes sense of them panicking, but I’m sure you can figure them out.”

 

"Unfortunately, no. I didn't see them with the bear or eagle."

"T-thanks..." She utters.

Aeris' gift is tagged

It's a cubic box that's fairly light.

Seems there's one box for just about everyone.

"I've probably got better ways to spend my time than ponder that."

 

Aeris smiles, opening the gift while the others wait.

Shadow Stephanie and Artemis drop through a portal near to where the elites were standing, before walking over to Petunia.

"What's happening here?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"Atleast you tried. If they are not with the Leviathan or with Sparky and Lucy, I hope they went into the mountains theirselves."

 

“Probably.”
Pause.
“Ytir’s reading up on plants. Told me to say hi.”
