Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She hesitates again before pulling a sled out with presents on it, glancing at you.
"D-did I get the day right?" She asks nervously.

"Anything metal is probably a weapon..." Aral'hrah mumbles.
"Still... thanks for checking up on us again. The new royalty are really nice. I think my only qualm is that half of my tribe still wants to fight something."

Anne shifts a bit, but keeps quiet.

After a few more minutes, the wyvern starts to fly back towards you, albeit slowly.

 

"Yes, it's christmas," I say, "Or 12th Perigee's Eve, as some cultures call it."

 

She pushes a present wrapped with snowflake-print paper towards you.
"I-I got you something. Again."

The tag says
"To: Mr. Shadow Demon
From: Petunia"

 

I look at the present.

"Your name is Petunia?" I ask.

 

He brings his hands to his mouth.
"Did you find something?!" He yells.

 

She nods.

It's going to be something in a box; it's about dagger-sized, but you doubt the Hive Master would let his daughter give you something to kill him with.

 

"Yes, but not your pack!" He shouts back, picking up the pace a bit.

 

"Then what did you find?!"

 

"That's a pretty name. It's nice to properly meet you, Petunia. My name is Aj, or " I say, before saying something Petunia cannot understand in another tongue.

I pick up the present and open it.

 

"Two guardians fighting!"

She blinks and hesitates before pointing a claw at the tag and rolling one eye into the back of her head.
The tag changes to
"To: Aj
From: Petunia"

It's a white box, and inside is a crystal just like the one you used to free Emerald.
"I-I had to sneak it by dad." She admits.

 

"Which ones? Is it the Ziz?"

 

I appear to be quite shocked.

"Would you permit me to hug you? I promise I'll just hug you and nothing else." I ask.

 

"P-probably, but I can't w-weaken the shield." She admits.

"Yep!"
He lands near you and lowers himself to the ground.
"Come on, we need to get moving. There'll be a hurricane, if history repeats itself."

 

I just hug the air, smiling, as if actually hugging Petunia.

 

He climbs aboard, holding Anne tight.
"Let's go."
He tries to wake up Anne.

 

She rolls her eyes in the back of her head and acts like she's hugging you, but you feel as if you're actually being hugged.
"C-close enough...?"

Anne yawns.

The wyvern takes off, heading towards the villages in Aurilon's ruins.
"I want to warn everyone I can." He says, glancing at the ocean every now and then.

 

"Who's the Ziz fighting? Is it the Leviathan?"

 

"Yep. Harsh winds and rough waters equals storm. Hurricane or tidal waves, it's going to get pretty bad."

 

"Yes," I say, smiling, "I just hope you don't object to us killing your father, if we decide to. I hope you know what he's doing is wrong, right?"

 

I smile.
“Well, that’ll happen. I noticed Gau wrestling someone on the way here.”
