WynnArmour, WynnImprovements and the 2D WynnPack​

Below are three resource packs that have been made to improve your experience while playing on Wynncraft. The first is WynnArmour which brings back the old Armour Skins feature removed in the Gavel Update as well as a few new features and the second is WynnImprovements which adds slight and subtle improvements to Wynncraft in order to enhance the experience. The third is a version of the WynnPack that has all the 3D models replaced with 2D variants to remove lag from the game.

What is it?
As everyone knows Armour Skins were removed in the Gavel update and now armour is boring again, this pack is a recreation that keeps the style and feel of Wynncraft as well as the old feature. The pack also adds new armour textures and icons that have never been seen before. It uses an optifine feature in order to change the texture of the armour based on there name, which means no, no loading times and no extra lag! It also allows you to see armour on others even if they don't have the pack installed themselves.

Installation

1. Download Optifine from here and install it.
2. Download the Pack either here or in the Downloads section (Direct)
3. OPTIONAL: Download the test world here or in the downloads section, this is where you can see and use all the armour without having them in the game. This would then be extracted into the 'saves' folder in your '.minecraft' directory.
4. Place the 'WynnArmour.zip' file into the 'resourcepacks' folder of the '.minecraft' directory.
5. Ensure you have the 'Custom Items' option located in 'Video Settings/Quality' turned on.
6. Go to Options/Resource Packs and apply the Wynn Armour.zip pack into the top position.
7. Join Wynncraft and Enjoy!
8. EXTRA: If problems persist try extracting the zip contents into a folder in the 'resourcepacks' directory and selecting that instead.

Add Subtle but Nice Improvements to Wynncraft

What is it?
This pack uses a many optifine features to add nice and subtle improvements to the game. For instance the horse saddle item's colour is dependent on the horse's colour and the skill point menu has different colored icons for each skill type. Some other features include making the depressing weapons appear grey and a grass overlay to make paths appear better.

Spoiler: FAQ and Known Issues

1. I cant find my 'resourcepacks folder', help!
- In the version of minecraft you want to use, go to the resourcepacks menu and click "OPen Resourcepacks Folder", once it opens place the file here.

2. Custom GUIs aren't working!
- The custom GUI feature is only new to optifine, this means you must be using a version of optifine with at least a '7' after the version. For example the earliest version you can use is 'OptiFine 1.9.4 HD U E7'. Even after this the feature is still buggy and sometimes will not trigger. To force it to trigger you can right click a chest before clicking on an NPC. If GUIs still dont work make sure you have them turned on in video settings.

3. None of the Custom Items are working!
- Make sure you have the resourcepack enabled aswell as the 'Custom Item Textures' option enabled in video setings.

4. It crashes my game after I load it!
- I have not had any reports of this yet but when you load a resourcepack make sure you give it enough time to load and if it still crashes, your computer may simply just not be able to handle the large amount of CITs or models.

5. The leaves look really bad and square.
- Turn your graphics to fancy.

6. There are purple and black textures in places.
- Re download the pack, its probably corrupted.

I have to thank @pale1 (whomst account was deleted) for creating 'Pale1's Wynncraft Resourcepack' which is actually where I learnt to use all these tricks back in pre-gavel days.

A 2D Replacement of the Default WynnPack​

What is it?
This pack replaces the default WynnCraft 3D models with 2D Versions. The aim to remove lag from less powerful computers and widen the wynncraft player base. It is a complete replacement of the WynnPack and contains all original textures except for the 3D models.

I like WynnImprovements but for whatever reason I can't seem to get WynnArmour to work with any piece of armour, if it was added in to the pack or not. I would say I liked both (I loved how the armour used to look before Gavel) but I just can't see any changes with the armour. Could just be a "me" though.

 

Ohh this is a nice project to work on. WIll definitely try it out!

I use Optifine 1.12.2 HD U C6, with obviously 1.12.2.

 

I'll tinker around with it and see if I can get it to work.

Wynn Armour Update 2.0 (Icon Update)
A new version of the pack has arived, and its HUGE. This update is the mark of me combing together with @HackerCat and @ThaUnknown_ to create a even bigger and better pack than ever before!
