He draws his scimitar and, in a flurry of slashes, cuts at Knaal.
Attack Roll 1: Natural 1
Attack Roll 2: 3 + 5 = 8
Attack Roll 3: 18 + 5 = 23

Damage Roll 3: 5 + 3 = 8 slashing damage.

One slash perfectly hits Knaal's axe, and one is dodged, but the final attack digs into Knaal's arm, before it's immediately pulled free.
