Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Yeah, since this adventure started, I guess I...we, haven't really been around him as much." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"I-I don't know what to do! What can I do?"
He cries and cries.

 

I nod.
“Couldn’t make your summary simpler.”

 

"Okay, specifically, his shadow or his form?"

"If you could, I think we'd have figured those things out by now."

No response.

There's... just not anything you can do right now. Stick it out... hell, I bet Sgavrinn has friends that could beat that damn guardian.

 

I smile.
“Well, I’m headed to Maralune right now. I’ll see you around.”

 

He wipes his tears.
"You know... I have other things to care about now."

 

"The human Aj." Shadow Stephanie says flatly.

The sound of sirens can be heard in the distance, quickly drawing closer.

 

"Yeah, say hi to chief for me, will you?"

Sivius rolls his eyes.
"Well, you're free to go. I'm curious to see how far these planet-ruining humans will react to a force they cannot hope to surpass."

Anne and Rema keep quiet, still internalizing the situation.

Don't lose yourself. You're all that stands between a beast and the world.

 

"Aghughhughhaahhgh."

Mumbling this between retches, I stand up once everything is out of my system

 

The once suitable meditating spot now smells absolutely disgusting.

 

"I still have a wedding to organise."
He smiles.

 

Correct thought.

Anne nuzzles you.

 

"I think I'll stick around for a bit longer, have some fun." Shadow Stephanie says as the sirens draw closer.

Eventually, three police cars arrive, policemen and women getting out of them, guns drawn.

"Freeze! Come out of the alley with your hands up!" A policeman says as a few others shine high power flashlights at Shadow Stephanie and Sivius.

 

"This has been the worst two days of my entire existence."

I return to head back to the camp in the forest

 

“Will do.”
I nod, heading off towards the portal room.

 

Nemmek snorts as you pass him.

Sivius smiles.
"Milady, you ought to keep track of your wits. They surpass your deadly beauty when they're about you." He whispers as he half-unsheathes his rapier, the guns coming apart as if they were being un-made.

"Come in the alley and we'll have to spoil the season." He retorts.

It seems to still be set to access Gaia's worlds.

 

I try the lever (or button, or switch, or whatever).

 

That slides it back to normal, the Ruin still leaking out slightly of the other end of the portal.

 

I head into the portal to Maralune, seeing if the surroundings have changed.

 

Not at all, but the respite seems to be stable... and not blocked off at all.
