so overwatch and tf2 are very similar, battlefeild and CoD are very similar. so cod and battlefeild generalize every fps ever?
dayz is a free for all zombie survival, doom is you versus demons, fortnite is a cartoon ffa with tons of possibilities are they similar to CoD and battlefeild?

 

alright but i was meaning that it looks like half the shooters nowadays are just CoD
i put as the ones i excluded these because i have heard they are good or i know something nice from them
like how splatoon is incredibly original tbh and tf2 has memes
but you see, the fact that i know soo little amount of shooters just tells me that some are foreshadowing a bunch of them

- Sonic Forces (Nuff said)
- No Man's Sky (An abortion of a game)
- Certain Minecraft Servers (This counts, right? (Not Wynncraft don't worry))

And of course, the worst of them all:
- Hiveswap (Blatant copy of The Hous Switch Places)

i have to say, that's one half of the fps market. Sure, you have your CODs and your Battlefields, your generic jump in, turn your brain off, mindless multiplayer shooting, whilst your consistently being reminded that your mother was raped yet agian last night, but those aren't the only fps's on the market. You have your rather bland looking R6S, which turns out to be an intense tactical teamwork experience, or CS, barring the toxic community it suffers from atm, a fast paced highly skill and reflex based game, and even PUBG, a game reminiscent of ye ol Hunger Games, cept with guns.

My point is, note EVERY fps is a [imo] shitty game like COD. And yea I'm defending them pretty hard, so I suggest you take a step out and explore the world of shooters. Ya never knwo, u might ind something you enjoy

but another point that supports my view of COD and hyper realistic shooters being something that needs to disappear in some kind of way

the fact that these are pretty much the only ones i know is a problem

 

thing is, cod is far far from a hyper realistic shooter. milsims and more tactical shooters like r6s or even the more punishing cs are closer to reality

 

I guess I'll do my list, in no particular order:

Pokemon GO-I only play this because there's nothing better to do while taking a walk, but it seems like Niantic wants to kill their own game. There's several things wrong with this game-from the speed limit on catching Pokemon and spinning pokestops,(almost nobody has the time to go out on walks on their own, and how are physically disabled people supposed to play the game? I'm not disabled of anybody's wondering, but think about people who are) Raid battles are dumb, since nobody really has the time to stay at the same place for an hour, and it's the only way to catch legendaries. I could go on, but I want to continue with my list.

Minecraft- I just got bored of playing it, and the cancerous community that overreacts to every single new feature(such as the new time-your-attacks method introduced in 1.9) doesn't make things better. I only open my minecraft account to play Wynn and occasionally eggwars on Cubecraft, but other than that, I don't play minecraft.

Candy Crush/Any other 3 match game- All of these games have the same method-either spend money or you win, or spend 15+ tries doing the same level until you can get the candies to line up where you want them to.

Boom Beach/Clash of Clans- It gets boring after a while, and upgrading stuff takes forever, meaning that people who choose to spend money will have a far easier time than people who don't.

(Notice that almost all of these are free to play games that have in-app purchases that makes the games easier)

Undertale, I have no idea why people have a problem with. It seems like people hate the graphics, but the first and second gen of Pokemon has even worse graphics, and earthbound/mother has just about the same quality of graphics and yet you don't see people complaining about those. I'm not going to say that Undertale is perfect, because it's not, but it seems like people just hate on popular games for the sake of hating popular games, smh

 

I’m not putting a list out (yet) but I am surprised that FNaF isn’t up here.
As being a fan of the games and the story, I hate the looks and comments people give me when I say I like FNaF. I did hate how it got monetized when Warner Bros. picked up the rights for the movie. And now a bunch of 7-10 year olds are into the game, and make the fandom seem cancerous (I’m not saying the fandom is perfect, but it’s got a bad rap from an outspoken few).

 

Doesn’t matter what games I hate... because I suck at every game so I hate every game

 

Have you actually played the game though? Sure, they were going to put microtransactions in, and probably they would have stayed in if Disney hadn't called to say no, but imo the gameplay is good, and it feels like a lot of people are hating on the game because of stuff that's not even in it.
