SPOILER Dark Cultists?

Yo that's an enderdragon head. Since enderdragons are canon according to the Temple of Legends quest

"Kelight: Now, I knew a man named Garull, once. He kept ranting and raving about Creepers existing, can you believe? Pfft! It's like suggesting an enderdragon will attack Detlas!"

I think this might be hinting we will have an enderdragon quest or dungeon in the future. Nice find.

 

There’s also a few around Thomas in te pigmen ravines.

 

I remember having something similar to that a long time ago, although that may just be my imagination. Also, there is a person in Thanos, don't know if it was removed with the update (probably not), who talks about an Ender Dragon attacking Detlas.

 

Considering everything Ender seemed to be Dernic, and Darkness is Dernic, and those sanic-speed mobs from the Ancient City have Ender Dragon heads too and are Dernic...

I'm pretty sure it has to do with something Dernic

The ones near the Pigmen Ravines have knuckles (earth daggers) as their weapons

 

At the entrance to part of the pig man ravine it can be found that the cultists are summoning or worshipping some dark / light beast. It’s model is a wither. I believe it was called like a Temporal anomaly or something.. When you kill it it drops a bunch of dark and light dust.

 

Rawb (or maybe Oryx) made a thread on that. That's what lead me here

Now we have a Third ingame reference to Road To Dern. First 2 was Mining Operation Discovery and Twain Graveyard Spikes. We also have a 3 Dern references ingame: Fantastic Voyage and Llevigar Libary and WE site D.

I went into this, and after waiting a while, A "boss" spawned at the altar (presumably the leader).
When I killed it, it dropped a rare helmet, which I identified.

It might be good for people who are early on, but I don't know of any other use for it.

 

I thought the whole 'enderdragon attacking Detlas' thing was a reference to a mod spawning an enderdragon in Detlas in the old days? Idk. Also, @Theeef, do you know what the light and dark dust is used for? If it is used for anything as of yet.

 

You use it to get masks in the small town in pitman ravine

theres an end portal right near ternaves

 

if you go to the lost sanctuary bridge there is a revamped cave on the side of the mountain that has dark cultists in it and a boss which drops a broken weapon called "The Staff of Dark Vexations"
