"I'm going to need a staff recharge... and any knowledge you have on combatting Nobodies... assuming you're not currently overburdened."

"Exactly my point. If I have nobody to love me, why should I care if anyone loves me?"

 

"Ah, Nobodies. Now that's something I haven't heard of in many a decade." The sorceress says.

 

"It won't be long until they're after me, and they just took out the King of Shadows. I need everything I can afford... even if it gives me just one more day alive."

 

"The only weapon that'll be effective against them will simply be knowledge. You must fight them, learn how they act, to overcome them." The sorceress says.

 

Ruby hesitates.
"...In that case, I'd like to buy a staff recharge."

 

"Certainly." The sorceress says, smiling.

 

"Can I do the staff swap thing again?"

 

"If you feel as if you will need it." The sorceress says, motioning to a familiar staff by one of the edges of her tent.

 

Ruby nods.
"Still need to, thanks. Leave this on the desk again?"

 

The sorceress nods.

 

Ruby leaves her staff on the desk and goes to take the other one.
"How much, again?"

 

"Twenty gold." The sorceress says.

 

Ruby checks to see if she has enough.

 

Ruby appears to have enough and way more.

 

She puts twenty gold on the counter with her staff, heading back to the rental staff.
"Ready about when?"

 

I smash the face in of the nearest soldier who spit on me.

"Don't you have a meeting to get to?"

 

"I'm the one holding the prisoners. You know, the one keeping them here?"

 

"Those people you killed had people who loved them, did you know that? Did you realise that?"

 

"Yes. I knew how much pain I was causing. If the forest wasn't so densely populated, I wouldn't have started the fire there."

 

"Why were you even granted these powers? You're crazy. A complete lunatic! A pyromancer that's so self-centered she doesn't even realise that the only thing she gets out of this is negativity!"
