Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Ruby waits, silent as she scans for the person's soul.

 

"Shut up and take care of the rest of the prisoners your way so I can have my talk." She chuckles.

 

"The guest is always right, I suppose."

I turn back to the remaining three prisoners, taking the staff back out

 

"Well, Solis was going to talk with me first. Notice how I haven't even gotten to seeing him yet."

 

"I've noticed. You go ahead, by the time I get there you should be done."

 

"You still haven't gotten any more soldiers over my way to bring the prisoners back to the castle, though."

 

"I'll see to it soon enough."

Reaching the closest prisoner, I flick out the blades on the staff, stick the hook into his eye socket, and pull

 

The person just seems to be a normal fire guardian, nobody special.

 

Ruby checks their clothing, a bit untrusting.

"Me asking you to do it an hour and a half ago was plenty of time."

 

"I've had a few issues."

I continue to pull on the eye of the prisoner

 

"How many of them were self-inflicted?"
You wind up accidentally ripping out part of his skull as well.

 

"Perhaps quite a few. I haven't been in the best state of mind."

I move on from the wounded soldier and onto the next one

 

"Isn't that great? Finding a save place for your children to grow up and knowing they will turn on you."

 

They seem to have fire resistant clothing, just casual wear, and a ring on their finger.

 

They spit at you.
"Well... I guess that's better than nothing." Ragnyon sighs.

Ruby waits, attempting to eavesdrop a bit.

"Better to have than to be loved."

 

Ruby can't seem to eavesdrop at all, as if a spell was masking the sorceress' and fire guardian's voices.

 

"What's the point of having if you're not loved?"

 

"What's the point of being loved if you have nobody to love you?"

She waits, suspicious.

 

"I have someone who loves me, you on the other hand have no one."

 

The fire guardian eventually gets up and leaves, seeming a little surprised by Ruby as they step around her.

The sorceress smiles at Ruby.
