Wynncraft Servers - What Does "next Push" Mean?

Whenever people report bugs and whatnot, and staff say it's fixed on their side and will be better "next push" what do they mean? How long will this take, and how can I know if it's happened?

 

A map push is when the map on the build/gm server is "pushed" to the main ones. This is why map pushes can't happen when an update is just around the corner, because if they push the map, then the whole map gets pushed, which spoils the new content. It's also the reason why corkus was introduced but blocked for the 2016 wynnter update since the island was built, but there wasn't any content on it yet.

 

Yeah, I'm aware of that, I was a Trial GM once, but like when do they push and how often / how can we tell?

I just wanna know when I should try a certain quest again.

 

Every time a server restarts, the map will be updated with the latest changes. That's called a push.

On updates/patches, the 1.17 update was a push, the Wynnter 2016 was a push, sometimes pushes aren't announced when they are only pathes like when we fix broken chunks. Quest fixes for the 1.17 update will probably be announced, they aren't here yet though.

 

The map only pushes when we tell it to, not on every restart.
We almost always post a thread in news when an important change or bugfix comes out.

In addition to what was said, we also tend to wait a bit before pushing after bug fixes.
Often it turns out that there's more to it, or another critical issue was found - we usually fix as much as we can before pushing.
