True, i am not affected by this, but i am NOT the kind of person to just sit by and laugh ”I am not affected by this buhahaha”. I have no idea how the american political system works, but from what i can tell this is not going to be stopped.

I do hope you know that the FCC voting to repeal it is only the beggining of various processes, likely leading into various legal battles. I hate it as much as you do, but stretching the truth, panicking and overreacting won't help anyone at all. Again, this is only the beginning of what will likely be court battles. It is not automatically the end. I really hate it when people jump to conclusions on this kind of stuff. Again, I hate it as much as you do, but it is not over yet.

I'm also sick of people from Europe or other non-US countries acting like they're better than us automatically. Whether it will affect you or not, I will not debate for now, but that does not mean you should constantly ignore the issue and shit on us just because of our situation. If it was Europe dealing with something like this instead, would the US do the same to Europe? Maybe, but that just shows that were really all the same. I apologize if my point about that sucked but it gets annoying hearing about how "better" everyone else is.

 

The US Congress has the final say. Maybe in a year or a few months or so, this will be brought to them and they will debate and vote again. Think of it as a process. This isn’t a “wow fcc repealed NN poof internet is gone” scenario.

In an event of Congress rejecting the FCC’s repeal for Net Neutrality, your Internet is good. If they approve of it, it then becomes law and you can press +F to pay respects.

For now, all you can do is to pester the fuck out of Congress. Call them, email them, constantly remind them.

Actually, Europe can be effected by this. Not only will we not be able to access American sites as well, but Europe may get the idea to follow suit and remove NN too...

Europe has Net Neutrality laws as far as I can remember except for Portugal. But I doubt that European nations will blindly follow US policies, even when its a policy targeted at big corporations at the expense of consumer welfare.

 

Net Neutrality has one more border left for its defense. So for now, it is a possibility that the Repeal wont go through. Besides this, if it does go through, instead of gaining money, businesses will probably lose money instead...

Most of my school has voice their opinion through talking with our Senators and such. However this still happened, this seems a bit odd but albeit, there will be a lot of court orders against this. So either way, most likely it will be changed back unless companies start sticking to their guns until they die. You never know.

 

I have lost all of my hope of trump doing anything because of that sentence...
