"True. Either way, no big deal. We don't even have a venue yet, anyways."

The Matriarch seems equally nervous, taking a small brush and daubing it on the side of one of her armblades before signing "Maralune"

 

The forest guardian seems overjoyed.

"Thank you so much!" The forest guardian says happily.

 

She nods.
"You're welcome. I should probably talk to the guards about getting the other paintings I have at the moment."

 

Wait, what was I doing before this anyways?

 

The forest guardian smiles, before giving the Matriarch some space.

 

Using a stolen map to figure out where to pick your next victims.
Except you can't see the map very well in the spectral plane.

She leaves, forgetting to grab the painting she set down.

 

"Uh, you forgot your new painting!" The forest guardian says, gently picking up the painting and running over to the Matriarch.

 

She turns and takes it.
"Oh, thank you. Maybe I should sleep before carrying everything over here..." She yawns.

 

"We really should get on that though."

 

"There's rooms in the palace you can go and sleep in, I'm sure the guards will allow you to." The forest guardian says.

 

"Yeah. Maybe a mountain? It would have a nice view."

She shakes her head.
"I had to put off a request to come see if there was still room here. I'm hoping it wasn't urgent... oh, maybe they found my crown. I've been looking for it for weeks..." She says, leaving.

 

"I was thinking somewhere on the beach or something, but you don't like the water so we better not."

 

The forest guardian doesn't follow.

 

Hearing the scream, I ride out to meet it, wielding my staff

 

"Well... if you like the water that much, we could have it on a bluff."

The Matriarch eventually returns with a stack of fifteen more paintings, stumbling at the gate.
"Could you please..." She yawns. "...bring these to the gallery?" She asks the guard.

You see Ragnyon on the dragon.
"Oh, good, cavalry came." Ragnyon sighs.

Five Genesian soldiers seem to be bound to various trees with vines.

 

"Nah, it would ruin the day if something were to happen."

 

"Please to see you as well, Raygyon."

I turn and walk towards the Genesians

"State your business in this forest!"

 

"...Do you know what a bluff is?"

They keep quiet.

"Sgavrinn, hon, you'll get treats if you make them talk."
The dragon spits at one, his skin melting off.
The others just look terrified.

 

"This will continue to happen unless you begin to talk."

I snap my staff around to break the kneecaps of the nearest captive

 

You can't break it, but he lets out a scream before Sgavrinn spits at the corpse again.

"Are you saying that having your face melt off is worth not speaking?" Ragnyon challenges.
"O-okay! We're here to stop you from meeting with Solis!" One admits.
