Is Rodoroc Still The Best Place To Do A Loot Run?

If not, where would a better place be and could I possibly get a video describing it?

 

Sky Islands, Corkus, Lusuco (unaffected chests) and Dernel Jungle (unaffected chests) are generally the best loot runs for endgame items. @Adomorn has two videos about Sky Islands and Dernel on his youtube channel.

 

btw is it a bug that chest are not affected (its going to be fixed by jp if it is doe lol) or not?

 

Nah, it's just bad mob/chest placement I guess. Unless it's intentional. Maybe some coder can increase the range of mobs affecting chests? I heard it was 40 blocks-ish, but idk.

Yep. Pretty much if you open the chest near a mob, the level of the loot would be similar to that of the mob's. If there are no mobs around, then the level of the items you get are determined by your level. That's why dernel and ice canyon is good because the chests are so far from the mob spawn areas.
