Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Throne room. Don't test her patience any more than you already have." The guard says sternly.

 

Ihra heads to the throne room without another word.

 

Shadow Stephanie sits on her throne in her larger form.

 

Ihra looks up at her.
"...Stress is getting to everyone, I guess... Is Artemis okay?"

 

"Didn't you have something else to say?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"Not until I'm sure you're the good friend I remember."

 

He moves away from the water, letting only his feet touch it. He again tries to get the water out.

 

You manage to get most of it out, but your ears are still damp.

 

Shadow's Stephanie's expression remains stern, though there's slight signs of it breaking.

 

Ihra looks at her wearily.
"Is Artemis okay and are you okay?"

 

"Artemis is fine." Shadow Stephanie says bluntly.

 

Ihra waits for the second half of the response, looking worried.

 

*sigh*
"Guess this will have to do."
He tries to get comfortable again.

 

There isn't a second half to the response.

 

"...And you?" Ihra repeats.

The sand is harder but less mud-like, but more comfortable than having water in your ear.

 

"Take wild guess, Ihra. Just fucking shoot in the dark." Shadow Stephanie snaps.

 

Ihra just blinks, tearing up.

"...Sorry I asked."

 

Shadow Stephanie sighs, getting off her throne and changing to her smaller form, walking over to Ihra and hugging her.

 

Ihra hugs her, crying.
"I-I didn't mean any of it earlier, I'm so sorry..." She sobs.

 

"You're forgiven." Shadow Stephanie says.
