Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The guards just stay on their duty.

 

Over time, Miorah's playing slowly gets quieter, yet echoes further.
She glances at the forest guardians, though her gaze mostly stays on the palace doors.

 

The forest guardians smile at Miorah, though there appear to be fewer than earlier. Eventually, the forest guardians return and start lightly tossing gold coins in front of Miorah, one of the forest guardians growing a wooden bowl around them to collect the money in.

 

Miorah waves at them, using vines to return their money before changing her tune, shifting to an energizing, happy melody.

 

More forest guardians gather, as well as a few air guardians from the top of the palace, to listen.

 

She keeps playing, growing a bed of flowers for Ihra as she switches melodies every few minutes, instilling various emotions on her listeners until she finally ends her performance with the calming melody she put Ihra to sleep with.

 

All the guardians applaud Miorah quietly, to show appreciation without waking Ihra.

 

Miorah smiles at them, glancing at the guards again.
"...What's the holdup on our execution?" She asks out loud.

 

The guards don't respond.

 

" Thank you, commander. If you'll be so kind, please inform me of business back at the castle."

 

Miorah sighs, putting the flute away.

 

"Do you mean he needs to be treated for the rest of his live?"

 

"Ragnyon is speaking with the king. She should be coming any minute."

"Yes, that's exactly what I mean."

 

The guardians disperse, going back to their jobs.

 

"That damn Ziz!"
He makes a fist.

 

Miorah lies down, annoyed.

"It could be worse. He could be dead."

 

Nobody disturbs Miorah.

 

"Is it that bad?!"

 

She just waits, summoning a book and paging through it.

"If you startle the surgeon, it will be that bad."

 

"Right."
He leaves Gram and sits down next to Rema.
