You seemed to take issue with that the last time I used this ability, when it knocked you unconscious.

 

I would go with those definitions. And Althaios is probably indifferent under those terms

Also, I'm back, but only for an hour, then I'm gone for 3 hours (I get to build a welding table!), maybe the whole night.

Eventually, the path widens a bit (keep in mind, that there's still those little offshoots). The area around this path turns from dim light into darkness, making it hard to see what lies ahead. But, a single beam of sunlight shines down into the middle, despite there not being any sun or anything to produce said light. Flecks of dust dance around in the light.

Something is scuttling around on the other side of the sunbeam in the darkness, but you can't tell what

 

Is that for anyone with darkvision, or just Devil's Sight?

 

I use 2 ki points to cast Darkvision on myself, inspecting the area but not looking behind me.

If it's Devil's sight, I'll typically just put Alas in the spoiler

It's large and dog-like. And, seems to be made of a magical darkness that you can't see through.

OOC you actually skipped past the butler encounter by being smart. King Rat is still a possible encounter, as are some other things
