"My visions always appear very jumbled, and I have no control over what I see. I was wondering if there was a way to help me in that regard."

 

"Oh, yes, sorry." Gaia says, hurrying back to the living room.

 

"It's fine. I'm going."

"You cannot control how far you see, and they will always be vague. It's up to you to learn how to read small signs and pick out details."

Gaia smiles, following her counterpart curiously.

 

Gaia sits down next to Praecantatia and Stephanie, chatting with both as Stephanie weakly smiles.

 

Gaia relaxes as she watches the trio before stepping back into the lab.

 

The lab is mostly quiet, apart from a light hum of magic.

 

Gaia waits, sitting down and looking at the tech Praecantatia has set up.

 

There appears to be a few machines for mixing, boiling and freezing potions, though a lot of work seems to be done by hand; tools neatly laid out on the lab desk.

 

She winds up drifting off a bit, laying down and closing her eyes.

 

Oddly, nobody disturbs Gaia's sleep.

 

She winds up being out for a few weeks...

Ruby lands at the foot of a volcano.
"This helping you remember where you lived?" She thinks, giving Abigail full sensory.


Emerald shows up at the gates of the Shadow Palace with a dryad.

 

"I'm not sure." Abigail says, looking around.


The guards open the gate to let Emerald and the dryad through.

 

Not much other than more volcanoes to see here.
"You think your friends might remember?"


Emerald nods at the guards as the dryad walks through, flowers blooming and vanishing in her footsteps as she walks.
"You may want to let the queen and... well, if the king's recovered, then him... she's coming. She's not very polite to strangers."

 

"My friends?" Abigail asks.


"Very well, we shall." The guard says, nodding.

 

"Artemis, Katie, Stephanie..."


"She's like a cross between me, Alice, and a forest guardian. Good luck." Emerald sighs.

 

"Who are they?" Abigail asks.


The guard nods.

 

"Bad, bad, bad... you're losing your memory!"


Emerald waves and vanishes as the dryad heads to the throne room.

 

"What do you mean?" Abigail asks.


Shadow Stephanie sits on her throne in her larger form, looking bored.

 

"You remembered them just a few days ago!" Ruby thinks, panicking.


The dryad looks up at her.
"Hey, benchwarmer. Your throne partner recover yet?"

 

"Did I?" Abigail asks.


"Not yet, kindling. What's it to you?" Shadow Stephanie responds.
