Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Gaia nods.

 

Gaia stays still for a moment, before hugging her alternate self.

 

"For god's sake.."
He looks irritated at Gram. Then he tries to sleep. AGAIN.

 

I continue towards the courtyard, hoping to find the source of the sound.

"Are you out here Devarra?"

 

>...
>.....
>.......
>Sleeps on the mattress anyways.

 

She rests her head on her counterpart, hugging back with a paw.

As usual, you wind up waking up as the sun's setting.
A few more minutes, and the walls of the safehouse won't mean anything once your spirit body is free to roam.

As you keep walking, you're lead out into the middle of the courtyard...
...Where Devarra is scratching the dragon's chin, who has since rolled over on his back and is humming rather loudly.
Ragnyon waves at you from the side.

It happens AGAIN.
Except, this time it's more of a pained howl than anything else.

...How is Anne sleeping through this?

 

"Maybe she has some sort of earplugs?" He thinks before looking at Anne.

 

No earplugs, but she's starting to stir.

 

"Maybe she's a heavy sleeper?"

 

Gaia hugs for a while, before letting go.

"Things will be ok." Gaia says, smiling.

 

"Your dragon is quite loud, Raygyon. You could wake the whole castle at this rate."

I go over to stand by Raygyon

 

Not quite. She's waking up.

Anne yawns, getting up and looking around.

"He's not mine, but what did you expect? He's a dragon. It's hard not to be loud by human standards."

Gaia nods.
"I'd rather not think of the alternative."

 

"Yo..."
He looks tired at Anne and yawns.

 

"I understand. But I still wish I could get more sleep. Anyways, why did you want to see me in the first place?"

 

"I wanted to see if you were a true prophet, or one of many fakes."

"Did... did you doze off too?"

 

"The opposite... I couldn't really."
He looks at Gram and nods in his direction.

 

"You were supposed to keep watch..."

Gram coughs a bit.

 

"I assure you, I am a true prophet. No hack with a crystal ball can best the soothsaying of a Phykran native."

 

"Well, if you would, would you allow me to look into your future?" She asks, blood coming out of her claws.

 

"I'm sorry, okay?"
