You notice, a lot of people enter the tavern. All at once, all very quickly. As if they are trying to find something inside, or running away from something outside.

I get up, finishing my water, and trot outside, looking around.

 

Spoiler: Caligo

The sun is about to clear the horizon, and you notice something. The streets are empty. You see a few doors swinging from people who just entered buildings, but not a soul is out on the streets.

 

Unnerved, I try scaling the tavern to get a good look at everything.
Acrobatics: 3 + 7 = 10

I just realized, you JUST had an encounter. Giving another one so soon would be boring, especially since yall were just debating the riddles which is really interesting.

So yeah, sorry about that.

Plus, doing the encounter now deprives me of making a meme later, so yeah...

@SPYROHAWK Even if we just had an encounter, I believe that this would be a good opportunity to show the townspeople that we have good intentions and are not just strange aliens arriving in their town.
