Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Sure, I'd be happy to."
He smiles.

 

"That is correct. We best not keep her waiting. Let's proceed to the courtyard."

 

Alice holds the door open with her parasol, arm stretching as she heads into her kitchen.
"I'd hope you have the courtesy to not mess with the papers I'm writing. Dining room is somewhere, I usually just have tea on the porch."

You're wheeled out to the courtyard, a green dragon taking up most of the space.
It turns and hums when it sees you, sniffing at your stretcher and then you.

 

"Of course."
He says, walking in, searching for the dining room.
"I hope you don't mind me staying in this form. Eating and drinking comes better when my digestive system isn't trying to fuck itself."

 

"I don't care."

 

"Thanks."
He finds a seat somewhere that's not a couch.

 

"Well, this is interesting. Wesley, I want you to head back inside. This will be handled by me and Devarra only."

 

"Why? I've already pet him. He's not hostile... in fact, he seems to behave like a dog. A really big dog."

There's a recliner and just around the corner is the dining room.

 

"This isn't about the dragon. A deal was made for this meeting, and how the terms were laid out. So I'm sorry, but you'll have to go inside. It's for the best, friend."

 

Wesley sighs, nodding before putting a hand on the dragon's snout, who licks him and hums.
As he walks off, the dragon looks confused before laying down, a halfdragon now visible sitting on his back.
"Are you the one I'm looking for?" She asks, holding a staff with a crystal ball.

 

"I am the seer known as Aradius Tristum, and this is my consort, Devarra. We are the ones you seek, yes."

 

"I am Ragnyon, the last draconic prophet. If you don't mind me asking... what happened to you?"

Devarra's busy petting the dragon.

 

"That isn't important, and it's a bit of a sore subject. Now, what is it that you seek?"

I sit up straighter in the stretcher

 

"Oh, what's wrong with making sure you're okay?" She asks, getting the dragon's attention.

 

He takes a seat in the dining room.

 

A few minutes later, Alice returns with a filled teapot.
"Sorry, I got sidetracked with your visit. Could you please give me another minute?" She asks, putting the teapot and a few teacups on the table before hanging her parasol.

 

"Sure, take your time."
Voidfiller patiently waits, not touching the pot or cups.

 

"It's not my proudest moment, though I appreciate the concern."

 

Three minutes later, Alice enters the room and sits down across from Voidfiller.
"Sorry about that, another batch of sun-brew was finished and I left a few cups out for the faeries."

She looks around a bit before glancing at Davarra.
"Lady Davarra, could you please bring me a small bowl?"
"Sure, be back in a moment." She says, running off.

"Well... at least it would appear that the Hive Master has not clutched this world... yet." She sighs, looking up at the sunset.

 

"I would hope so. If the Hive Master were here, I'm sure this land would look a lot more inhospitable then it already is."
