Why can't you get more workforce? Is it because the applications don't meet the current standards of the team?

 

Also because the coding is done by only one person from what I know wich clearly isn't enough, also people are working freely

 

Dude that doesn't explain why you can't hire more people.

 

At the moment, they would be introducing someone to a huge update, something that they might not be able to process as well as it may not turn the gears properly in the CT/Coders team. Once this update comes out will be the best time to recruit CTs/GMs/Builders as it would have the code, building style, and writing all there for them laid out and so they could have an easier time to fit in and help out.

Basically introducing them now will cause a mess and would probably confuse them, taking the risk will more damage the current update rather than helping it.

 

Welp, at least that explains why its hard for the update to go fast atm

 

That's why the refactor is taking priority over new game mechanics I believe. The code is messy, and only one person knows what each part does. They're essentially rewriting it so it makes sense to anyone who can read Java (does Wynn use Java? Anyone?), so then more people can work on it.

 

Actually I believe Apollo is helping Jumla. Not sure what else he'd be doing.

 

Oh yeah. Well, it's still only two people working on a lot of code. I code a bit, mainly for school, and we have to do a NEA task. It's literally a glorified quiz but the amount of stuff you have to do is massive. Although, thinking about it, we've had like 5 hours on it but no one in a class of about 20 has started coding yet (afaik) because of this report we have to write, which involves specifying everything you're going to make the code do, designing every single output, and writing pseudocode for every section, and then translating that into Python. It's gonna take a while.

 

Colin also does stuff for the refactor.
