What Is Your Most Hated Quest ?

Same. I found it a little misleading too. Remember in the Gavel teaser trailer by Grian a long time ago the narrator made it seem that the player would explore multiple dimensions? I think he literally said, “How many are there?”

 

Oh so that's the quest I forgot ??? that retarded quest heheheh
I nevah wanna do that quest again took me 2 hours just to get people.
anyways that quest was very very fun stupid

 

I've played through most quests 3 times already so I'll give a few of my least favorites.

???- This one annoys the heck out of me. First, you have the difficulty of getting 3 or 4 players together to even start the quest. Then, you have to coordinate yourselves through several complex puzzles. And, if you accidentally mess up or do something wrong, the other players treat you like garbage. Honestly this is my most hated quest simply because of the crappy player experiences I've had with it.

The Realm of Light- Like everyone else has said, it's a boring, laggy quest with an awful, anti-climatic ending that leaves the realm vulnerable and the story unfinished. Did I mention how much of a pain it is to get through it?

Jungle Fever- Whoever thought making a lv55 quest where you have to go in a maze while avoiding golems 15 levels higher than you was an idiot. I've purposely put this quest off until I reach around lv70 just so I don't get annihilated by the charging swarm of golems.

Purple and Blue/Aldorei's Secret Part 2- These quests are fine, except the parkour. One block timed parkour is a nightmare to navigate, even with an average computer.

Recipe for Disaster- The enjoyment of this quest is heavily dependent on who you choose. The first time I played it, I chose a chef that had an annoying set of ingredients to obtain. Plus, navigating the Sky Islands while trying to find exact coordinates is never fun.

Tower of Ascension- I will be honest: I have only played through this quest once on my main warrior class. ToA is fairly easy until you reach the upper floors, where you encounter cheaty mobs that can basically one-hit kill you with their multihit attack. Also, unlike the Hive, the rewards for ToA are very lackluster considering you have to be a very high level to survive the upper floors (unless you manage to beat it at a low level, but even then you can't wear the armor until lv75, and 5 levels later you can get Cosmic Armor, which is many times better and one of the few reasons why you should endure ???).

 

My most hated quest is the tutorial because it doesnt even teach you how to be officer

 

All the llevigar quests ... and those ones in olux oh and ... just about all the ones in gavel... except the ones above lvl 90 ... o wait .... they are fetch or mindless slaughter or smashing your keyboard till u end up somehow using escape spelling and completing the flying space ship in royal trials.... (don't ask)


So yeah.... all the quests in gavel. They are mostly well designed by my impatience combined with my shitty navigation makes those quests literally take hours longer then they should
(spent 3 weeks trying to find one mob in a small castle.... i one shotted it once i found it... took me another 2 hours to find the quest guy
and yes i used both the wiki and youtube)

 

??? is my most hated quest, i've spent litterally DAYS to complete it on all my classes 80+ (until csst)
So yea, I hate this quest as much as I love it because it helped me level up so much

 

the 8LE from TOA never hurt...

 

any quest that involved puzzles (meaning every quest)

 

I can get 8 LE way easier by farming mobs/loot chests for loot and selling the good meta items. I don't have to fight ridiculous bosses or enemies that can basically OHKO you if they catch you in their spell (which, for slower walk speeds, is near impossible to do perfectly multiple times when getting all 10 tokens).

Plus, other simpler quests like The Ultimate Weapon give you an item or reward worth nearly as much, so why bother grinding through 70 tedious floors with some containing unfair mobs within them?

 

Wasn't really much too unfair to me, I got through Death in under 2 minutes before the bosses could even spawn, I soloed everything else tbh

 

All three quests in Thanos... I was looking for an entrance for sooo long then when I finally killed myself I got in and finding the exit was also hard... It's a really messy town and I don't like it.

First quest (from the beginning) was ok just because of the reward..
Second quest was ok as well, but all those rails just to get to the vault...
Third quest, the belly of the beast, I didn't like it at all..

 

All the Olux quests, Eye of the Storm, all the quests in Canyon of the Lost, Fantastic Voyage, Drought Sand, Realm of Light trilogy and the Dark Forest/Kander Forest quests.

For Olux, Dark Forest and Kander Forest, I absolutely hate the environment there with all the mobs and the shit-ass terrain. It would be great if at every corner in Olux, I don't get riddled by ranged mobs with small hitboxes. The quests don't feel fun. IIRC, one of them has you running all around the fucked up swamp chasing some bigfoot thing, another goes around finding deep holes(this sorta goes for the Dark Forest and Kander Forest quests, my infernal hate to the hellish environment). Pretty sure in the GM document about what a good quest is and isn't, they did say something about not making quests with mazes. What do they do with 12 quests? Put in the largest fucking labyrinth in the game because why not? Canyon of the Lost almost killed my motivation to play. Almost. RoL feels unfun and more of a : find some stuff to fix some shit some NPC didn't/can't do, get an ambiguous cutscene of a worm of some sorts, follwed by us running around like idiots to enter a realm to break eggs. It is underwhelming.

That's a good point actually. To start with, Thanos is a right pain to navigate in general. I mean, a new player there can easily get lost with the two rooms and lots of stone. The fire is horrible, and quite difficult to avoid if you're running around, like in the From the Bottom quest. I dislike the fact there's only on entrance, and that lava pool half way up the stairway is nasty. I died multiple times to it running into Thanos.
Btw, does anyone know where the big, fairly misleading corridor goes? I feel like it could be a teleporter to Rodoroc when they add quests and stuff to it. That would be useful.

 

Wow I didn't acctualy believe this this post would get so many people to comment :) It's nice to see that the Quests do have problems. PS: PLEASE SALTED AND GRIAN HEAR US OUT!

 

Thanos is the most anoying thing ever, first time playing couldnt even find the exit for 30 mins, make it more like a city and not a fking slum

Also, jungle fever and the passage is kinda bad designed altho the story is o. The mobs u have to go thru are so strong its almost impossible.( am i the only one who cant spawn my horse in the almuj labyrinth?)

Yeah, it's the feet Chiefs of fetch quests, and one of the most rewarding (at least money wise) quests in the game. I feel like it's just badly thought out, like a level filler, but to encourage people to do it they just overcompensated. I actually found an assassin in Cinfras soon after I'd done the quest, who had obviously done it too. He challenged me to a duel, and I won pretty quickly. I asked what weapon he was using - it was the reward dagger. I told him what to do with it.
