Where Is The Updates, Or At Least News On Updates

LEGIT one screenshot, one quote, one message, one ANYTHING is all we need, just give us some bit of new hype, Wynn is dying, 163 players on server, when Gavel came out it was 2000-3000 players, just give us hype, PLEASE!

 

Indeed, and in addition to this, there's been some technical difficulties for nearly 2 months.

People of the playerbase have work and school during weekdays. Majority of them are asleep within these hours, so of course there won't be too many players.

As for Gavel and any update release, people will be more propable to spend longer times on the server at once due to the amount of new content they want to explore. Releasing an update is like giving someone a bag of candy. They can instantly eat all of it for a short period of fantastic feeling, or savour it for a long time for constant, non-stop "pretty good" feeling.

Content is produced slower than it's being played, and the only way around this would be to get more workforce, which we can't get. Not only that, but testing and fixing bugs is time consuming aswell.

Creating hype is a bad idea, since it'll easily turn into overhype, which results in disappointment in updates. Just think about Gavel. The hype was kept going for a long while, and when the update finally came, it was highly criticized for not meeting expectations.

Mweh. Even I think updates take too long.

 

The problem seems to be that they release fewer larger updates over many smaller updates. This is why there are large periods between updates. They seem to have adopted the idea of longer quest with more varied mechanics over the old "bring me 10 [item]". These new quests are in their view funner (to me not really) but take much longer to make. I mean didn't corkus have like 4 quests? I haven't played Wynn since midsummer because at this point it's all grinding.

if you grind all the quests then the experience literally doesnt change between grinding and questing O.o so why tf do you not like grinding? If you like fetch quests that ask you to grind a few items or something then grinding should be right up your alley. I mean a fetch quest is essencially... go to this place and kill that mob [x]amts of times. Grinding is literally the same thing just without the quest guy/travelling in between. Plus you are like level 68 ._. at that level you barely have to grind and the game is so fast you cant even properly think about getting good items due to how quickly you level up.

 

Working over the summer’s one thing. Pretty much all of us are in school now, with other things to do than no life something that we don’t even get paid for (not that I mind, Salted please don’t boot me). We’re doing what we can, but a lot of it is in the backend with the refactor and other things that you can’t see. We’re trying our hardest, the update is humming along at the moment :) But yes.... HYPE!

don't expect every wynncraft player to live in your timezone
also we aren't on 24/7
the ct is working hard on the updates
plus bug fixes
they take up a lot of time

 

Had Gavel been released in the summer like it was said it would be, I'm sure the expectations wouldn't have become so high that Gavel couldn't meet them :P

Yeah, cause Gavel was totally complete during the summer. As I stated, content takes a very long time to create, and Gavel wasn't even completed upon first release. Do you think it would've been a good idea to release an entire province that's broken, lacks content and has incomplete features? I think not. ;D

I do agree that there needs to be some information. In fact the main reason why half of this is so brought up more than previously is because Grian announced an update on the update when the CT were not ready. Now they have to be quiet as we all are just ranting and hating on them as they work on this update. It honestly sucks. So now the CT gets hate, the Community is kept in the dark as they hate, and the Admins are doing... something but most likely they are working too. Especially Jumla... dude needs to get his coffee together.

From my observations that is what I see, therefore it is also my opinion, it's just how I see things that are currently going on. That is all I really have to say... so besides this..
