"He'd pass out. Everyone does when you cauterize that big of a wound!"

"Mhmm, right. You know, you'd get more done if you were more honest with yourself."

 

"Well.. it has to be removed someday."
Pause
"Can you fly, Gram?"

 

"Not like t-this... and d-definitely not while u-unconscious..."

 

"I already have gotten a lot done. And I know me better than you know me, anyways."

 

"Maybe we could have Rema make a portal?" He thinks.
"I see..."

 

Gaia finds herself on a huge grassy hill, her alternate self standing a short distance away, hair blowing in the breeze.

 

I throw her into the house.

 

"You better hope it stays that way."

You can throw her off you, but you can't throw her that far.

Gaia stumbles a bit before balancing herself on her feet.
"...Your children don't seem to have as much regard for their planet as I would've thought. It's still very beautiful."

She's busy, though...

"I'll try and remove a little bit of the tree..." Anne says, clawing at a bit of the burnt tree.

 

"Be careful."
He looks at the tree then at the sky.

 

"What do you mean?" Gaia asks.

 

"...There's pollution abound, though your children fight the cause."

Still clearing, and you're able to see a bit of the sky.

 

"They try their hardest to fight the damage the humans have done. It's quite sad how the humans appear to have a hatred toward me, destroying the planet for their own selfish needs and worshiping some greater god of everything instead of myself." Gaia says, sighing.

 

He looks around. Trying to spot Rema or maybe the Ziz.

 

"Does your reality not have gods even higher than yourself?"

Neither are visible, though the clouds continue to part and the winds die down.

 

"We're the highest gods there are. If one of us dies, then everything we control and create dies too. If I were to die, then all life would too." Gaia says.

 

"Hmm... That's strange. In my reality, we are called high gods, yet there are two and a half beings above even us. I haven't heard from either in eons, though."

 

"I'd say the only thing greater than us are our creators, but Temporus told me that our creators aren't exactly living beings per se but...a sort of past universe or reality? I didn't quite understand what he meant." Gaia says.

 

"Life is a cycle." Gaia shrugs.

 

"That's true. I guess our universe is alive too." Gaia nods.

 

Gaia seems to be a bit more stable.
"Well... would you mind showing me around a bit? I... would like to take my mind off the fate of my children." She sighs.
