Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Gaia attempts to repair her alternate reality self's form with extremely powerful earth magic.

 

"Oh gods, this is...this isstrange."

I slowly look at Nemmek, then look away

 

It's tough, but she's able to at least partially restore the look of the other Gaia's melted body.
"That... feels a lot better, thank you."

He appears to fall through the ground and disappear.

"...Mister Aradius? If you wouldn't mind, please close your eyes so I can get you to the operating room before the bleeding starts again..."

 

"I may not have...a choice...on that matter..."

I pass out

 

You wake laying on a mattress, hooked up to an IV.
"Okay, he's awake." One nurse says, holding a bloodbag.

 

He smiles and follows her.

 

You wind up walking through the ashen remains of part of the forest, Anne glancing around as she pads through.

 

"No problem, me." Gaia says, giggling.

 

“Damn. What makes you so assassination-worthy?”

 

*sigh*
"So this forest was cursed in some way?"

 

She chuckles.
"Perhaps you'd let me visit the home of your children? I think I can walk now."

"No, it seems the Ziz just wanted to watch it burn..."
You hear a groan, and Anne perks up and looks left.

"I am to Gaia as Emerald is to Xlentia."

 

"Yeah, that'll do it."

 

He does the same.
"What was that? Rema?"

 

"Sure thing!" Gaia says happily, her hair and eyes turning back to a forest green as she opens a huge portal around her body, which she falls through.

 

"We've got a much smaller library since, well... we don't take the knowledge of races we drive to extinction. You know, because we don't do that."

Gaia crawls towards the portal.
"Thank you for the warm welcome, Lady Tenebrae. I apologize again for my inability to protect your child from harm."

Another moan, Anne taking off to the side.

Didn't sound like Rema, maybe it was someone else?

 

"Yeah, I figured, considering you're all the followers of the goddess of life."

 

"Even then, I think Emerald has copies of our entire collection. I just don't know how she organizes everything since she keeps changing it."

 

"She probably has some sort of huge record in her archives."

 

"Remind me to never self medicate again."

I slowly begin to sit up

 

"Hello?"
He moves towards the noise.
