Official Event Wynnter Secret Santa 2017

Salutations one and all!

So it’s that time of the year again, that wintery time… And with it comes the Secret Santa event!
I held a similar one last year, however, this year I will be making a few changes so please read through this entire thread so you understand completely before you try to enter your Secret Santa stuff otherwise you’re gonna be a salty sammy.

Main Changes:

1. The first change to how it’s going to work is now you can ask up to 3 different things, and say what items you are able to give.
(The reason for this is that the person giving you the items will have an easier time to choose from three instead of struggling to find just one item. Now, this does not mean that you will get all three, it is still up to the person giving you the items to decide if they want to give you one, two or all three.)

2. The second change is that you can list good items, such as high level legendaries or high in demand legendaries, so that I can match you up easily with people who want the items you can give.
(This will help me out with choosing who finds what for who if you already have what they want. Along with saving headache to people that are looking for items, since they already have it.)

3. A third change is that you can give the person their gifts as soon as you get them, no need to wait for a special date.
(This is so that once you get it you can give it and not stress about it.)


These are the real important changes from last year but please don’t stop reading now, otherwise you’re going to be a little confused.



Deadline:
You have until November 26th to enter the Secret Santa.
After you have entered you simply wait until December 1st-December 9th for me to send out the hundreds of messages.
You have until January 12th to give your items to the person, if you fail to give your items you will be prevented from winning any future events.

What you'll get:
The format of the messages will be copy pasted and list the name of the person, their forums name, and the items they want. The title of the conversation will be “Secret Santa” if you want to ask any questions you can do so in the conversation, however please be patient if you do. As I said there are going to be hundreds of submissions.

Gift giving:
To actually get them their gifts you can do several things, send them a message on the forums and say “hey yo i’ve got your stuff where do you want to meet to make the deal?” and plan a time around that.
What you can also do is wait until they’re online, cause you’re a pro stalker, and sneak up on them and give them their gifts.
You can do either of these methods or come up with some crazy third way that I can’t think of.

After you get your item, please respond in the conversation I started with you saying you got your item. Same goes for after you give your item, once you’ve done so please let me know.

Backing out, or scheduling issues:
If you need to back out of the Secret Santa due to being unable to give them their gifts or you just don’t want to participate then please tell me before December 1st so that it saves me a lot less headache.

If you still want to participate but for whatever reason can’t get your gifts to the other person then please let me know as well so I can come up with a solution.


Alright, now that I think we’ve got the basics covered and what to do covered I can get into the rules of the thing.

Rules:
Only ask for items.
(No emeralds, junk items are allowed 64 is the max.)

Be realistic.
(Don't ask for something that is difficult to get.)

No Mythics.
(They are very rare and hard to get for most people.)

Please no specifics.
(Don't request items with specific IDs, be happy with what you get.)

High demand items.
(Remember, hundreds of people will enter, don’t expect to get a high in demand item if you request one.)

Tell me when you get/got your item.
(Respond to the conversation after you got/gave the item.)


Final word:
Now, I am expecting some people to suddenly become inactive and not actually do it and leave a few people empty handed.
If you want to help give items to those who do not get any please send me a message on the forums titled “Secret Santa Backup” please only send me a message if you are really really serious about grinding to try to find items for people who didn't get any.
It is also important to note that you will most likely be giving someone a legendary item that is in the 90-100 range. As these items were the most popular last Secret Santa, so be prepared to do heavy grinding or trading.


I believe I have covered nearly everything so before the link I will say this. Please only enter the event if you are prepared to give, this event is all about giving to your fellow players and making them feel better. Do not enter this as a selfish way of getting items cause you won’t have a good time. Especially since I will know that you’ve not given items.
