“...I mean, all right, sure.”
Pause.
“How big can you make portals?”

 

"Depends. How big do you need?"

 

"See you in a bit. Stay safe."
He stops concentrating and breaks the connection.
"She's on her way, Anne."

 

“A few thousand need to fit through eventually. Not all at once.”

 

"A-Uh...We've never encountered anything like this before." One of the doctors says to one of the guards.

 

She nods.
"I hope this doesn't get Rema killed."

"...I don't know how you'd heal a golem, anyways..."

"Wait, what? I thought you guys got whipped."

 

"Do you possess a biological form?" A doctor asks.

 

"I... can't shift into it right now."

 

"Is that due to the damages you've sustained?" The doctor asks.

 

"Probably."

 

"That presents a major problem, then." The doctor says, thinking.

 

"Better not say that. I have good hopes."

 

"The fact that I'm now in the way?"

"I... just have hopes." Anne sighs.

 

"The fact we cannot heal you as of yet." The doctor says.

 

“We did. They didn’t. Few thousand, maybe kind controlled.”
He repeats.

 

He gives a slight chuckle and waits for Rema to arrive.

 

"I understand. I can wait."

I sit down and wait to be served

Your delayed thoughts help your dodge, but she turns hard and just misses your leg with a wide swing.

A minute later, as promised, they return.
"Okay... let me take a look."
They remove your makeshift bandage.
"...Did you do this?" They ask, almost laughing.

After a few minutes, a portal opens nearby and Rema slithers through.
"Alright, so... do you have a plan?"

"Yeah, I'll feed them and then keep them under lockdown. Give me a minute to prepare."

"Well... that too."
Pause.
"...Is there any chance one of your gods may speak with me? My counterpart particularly interests me."
