I would take it but
A) it's a 9th level warlock bard or wizard spells
B) you have to be level 14

Wizard schools don't change what spells you're allowed to pick. They just make you better at that specific type of spell.

 

I mean, you could just make a bunch of scrolls, which are half off of you go with transmutation.

BTW, I'm using Xanathar's to flesh out Yevor's backstory.

 

It's a 9th level spell, so naturally only super high level players can cast it. As for class problems, we do have a Warlock (don't Clerics also get the spell?)

You don't need to be in a specific school to cast spells of that school. Just because it's a transmutation spell doesn't mean you need to be a transmutation wizard
