"With the Ziz. Apparently she likes Wyverns more than dragons."

 

“Okay. Gimmie a minute here.”
Voidfiller tries making a telepathic link with Emerald.
“Hey. Are you getting this?”

 

Dodge

 

"Not wyverns, wyrms... oh. You want me to try and talk to her, don't you?"

Which way?

"Sure."


"Yeah, what'd you need?"

 

“I’ve got a few thousand of Gaia’s followers here, we don’t have food and I don’t know if they’re mind-controlled, so I’m kind of in a pickle here.”

 

"Ehe.. if you don't mind."

 

"Currently, but they've sustained some pretty serious wounds." The guard says.

 

After getting back to the castle, I make my way towards the healers quarters

 

"Send them over if you can."

They seem to be a bit busy, one running over to you.
"What happened?" They ask, worried.

Gaia sighs.
"...Where am I?"

"Well... anything for you, sweetheart. I'll be there as soon as I can."

 

"The Realm of Shadows." The guard says.

 

"A minor misunderstanding, nothing important. Now please, fix my shoulder."

 

"...I'm sorry I couldn't protect him."

"O-oh... sure... can it wait a minute? I need to get back to a surgery patient..."

 

"Whom?" The guard asks.

 

"Your king."

 

"We...don't entirely know what happened with him. We believe it's from an outside threat with a greater goal than attempting to kill him." The guard says.

 

"Still..."
Pause.
"...I suppose this makes me look terrible to your gods."

 

"You defended creatures unrelated to you by element or reality in the face of their certain doom. You do not look terrible at all." The guard says.

 

"Well..."
Sigh.
"...You didn't suffer too many losses, at least."

 

"We thank you for keeping our people safe." The guard says, bowing as doctors rush in and begin evaluating Gaia's wounds.

 

“...What are you going to do with them?”
