Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I could probably break the door, but it be more fun if I could trick her into breaking it for me.

 

Seeing how slow Nemmek is going, I begin to soothe him.

"It's ok, boy, you can do it. We just need to get to the castle."

 

She whips her hair around.
"Sure. Open the portal, smartass."

He picks up the pace a bit, but he still won't go full-speed.

Better have a plan for that, because she won't just stand there waiting for you to make a move forever.
Neither will her backup, footsteps drawing ever-closer.

 

Voidfiller peers at her, before she falls through a portal back into the palace, the portal becoming very small behind her.

 

A few minutes later, she comes back with several thousand forest creatures.
"Come on, open up."

 

Voidfiller mumbles something, the portal flying around to look at the state of the group and the surroundings.

 

Centaur, fae, sprites, and other dryads stand behind her in the ruined hall of Gaia's palace.
Not a single draconian in sight.
"Maybe you'd fill the void in your thought process sometime?" She taunts, annoyed.

 

“Here’s my thought process:”
Voidfiller starts, clearly less agitated, but still talking fast.
“One, the Hive Master’s army, a group that has the ability to mind control people, didn’t kill thousands of beings here, and just left. And two, my portals aren’t that big, and I don’t know where Gaia went, so what the fuck am I going to do with thousands of you?”
Some mumbling, and Voidfiller sighs.
“And although it’s commendable to round up thousands of you, I’m not going to apologize for thinking that there was a high chance of getting killed in a war zone.”

 

"No, you're right. They would've kept trying to kill you. You see, we're useless to them. We mean nothing. They want Mother Gaia, and nobody else. Once she was gone, he just wanted to rub it in that your group was defeated. He left the bunk room and meditation room untouched."
Pause.
"Hell, I know you have some mind-liberating totem over with a friend. If you're really that paranoid, just blast us with that."

 

“I am paranoid. I like to believe that’s how I’m here now. And it’d be amazing to get a hold of Stephanie’s totem, but I don't know how long that'll take, and I don't h- How much food do you guys have in there? Assuming you eat."
He asks, cutting himself off.

 

"Oh.. Hey! It's Bardock. Did this work?"

 

"Not exactly..." One of the guards answers.

 

Seeing if I can spot the reason why, I look around while riding

 

Well lets just try the thor thing again. But this time I'll arc it so it's harder to miss.

 

"Are... they alive...?"

He just seems to be a bit tired.

"Yes... have you never used telepathy before?"

"Everything we had was torched."

Throwing your scythe and bringing it back just results in her dodging, fairly easily once again.
"Don't think too hard, now."

 

I try to get closer to her.

 

Voidfiller grumbles, clearly thinking.
“Are you all omnivores?”

 

"First time. Again."
Pause
"But we need your help."

 

"I understand, Nemmek. I'm tired as well."

I continue riding

 

That's the easy part, but she lunges at you with dagger in hand.

He trots on, getting you back to the castle in half an hour.

"Okay... with what?"

"Some. Most aren't."
