    6+3STR+1+3STR+5FIRE=18
    I also use 1 Heartfire charge to add 1d6 fire damage

    It's something I've been pestering Spyro about for a while. I might want the Tankard of Sobriety, but the ruby is fine too.
    Wait, is this before or after modifying HP on the battle map?

    If you mean the Earth Elemental's hp, then I see what you mean. I haven't edited its hp so I assume you mean that I could have killed it without the extra damage, etc.

    If I can, I take back the charge.

    Keep in mind that it has resistance, so cut the damage from your hammer in half.

    The damage without the extra fire damage would be 13.
    So 6.5

    Hunger of Hadar, the "normal" OP third level Warlock-only spell that EVERY warlock needs to take because it's like Eldritch Blast and just needs to be taken?

    I'm sorry, but it's not as good as you think.


    Firstly, according to Sage Advice or something, Devil's Sight does not let you see through this spell.

    Second, while the damage is okay, it doesn't scale with slots, which is a weird decision because it's warlock only and all of warlock's spell slots scale.

    Thirdly, due to the mediocre radius, most creatures will only get hit once or so before strolling out of it, unless you can use it cleverly in a situation with limited movement.

    EDIT: Actually, I hadn't seen that the space is difficult terrain. That kind of redeems it, but it still has issues.

    Also, next time do the different damage types separately, for purposes of damage resistance and whatnot.

    The thing about Devil's Sight and whatnot is weird. It should let you see through mechanically, but not thematically. There has been TONS of debate about this subject, so I would like to know where you got your info from. You could be right, I'm not saying you are wrong, but with all the debate over Devil's Sight + Hunger of Hadar I'm curious to see how the final answer was stated

    And I didn't notice it doesn't scale. But anyway, once your slots level up you can always rotate it out for a different spell (since you can change one spell every time you level up)

    It does not create "darkness" or even "heavy obscuration", it "blinds" all creatures in the area. The blinded condition can only be negated by having blindsight. Darkvision does not help.

    On the other hand, from the outside, it simply "blocks all light". I would say it's DM interpretation as to what this means for Devil's Sight.

    Blinding stops seeing out from the spell, the big debate is seeing through it from the outside. The part you say is up to the DM.

    However, I would rule with what Crawford said. Anything that comes from Crawford, Mearls, or Perkins is always something I take into heavy account

    All enemies are dead, but you are still in initiative mode. You may take an action or move or whatever, but don't anything that takes a minute or whatever.

    Also, you notice the clouds of dust from the earth elementals slowly drift inwards. Heat and Kinte can't breathe very well, or see.

    Well, the thing is, you’re only going to nail it’s full effect on a single target if you’re targeting a group. And, there’s even a chance that you don’t with the Dex save. Unless the targets has crap movement speed, that is. It’s also cold damage, having the potential for resistances. The major thing I can see it being good for is a nice way to deal damage while stalling the opponent’s turn.

    So, Yevor casts False Life on himself, gaining 3 + 4 = 7 temporary HP. Can someone edit the map/his spell slots on his sheet?
