"This is important. I'll get him ready myself, and then go off to see him. I trust you'll deliver the message?"

 

"Y-yes, right away." Wesley says before sprinting off.

Nemmek snorts.

 

"It's ok, boy, we'll be quick."

I saddle Nemmek up and begin to ride for the Elder's village

 

Your ride is ever so slightly boosted (mostly just by morale) with a tailwind, quickly bringing you to Solis' village.
Nobody's outside, however.

 

Quickly, I stride through the village, heading towards the elders house.

 

As you approach his door, blood starts to flow out from under it.

 

"And how does that benefit me?"

 

"Oh, it doesn't. In fact, it'll probably get you killed." She says, stepping out of the house as her skin begins to melt.
Another demon.
"...Besides, there's only one thing that could get you out of a revenge killing... and becoming my slave just didn't sound like something you'd be up for."
She pulls out a pair of daggers.

 

"You f*cking bicth!"
I summon my scythe.

 

"It is a bit far, but I think I could."

 

She smiles.
"All's fair in love and revenge. Now, shall we dance?"

"Well, the fire's in the forest anyways, isn't it?"

 

"Yeah.. maybe we should get going then?"

 

Anne nods, looking up at the cloud of smoke.
"...It didn't look so bad when we left."

 

Artemis readies her bow, looking for whoever entered.


"Tirra."
"Ignia."
"Aqui."
"Aeris."
"Victus."
"Mortimer." Each elite guardian says, stepping forward and bowing.

 

Can I kill her? That's a thing I would very much like to do.

 

I burst through the door.

"Elder Solis! Hello? Are you there?"

 

You're welcome to try, though it may be risky considering she has mindreading abilities.

A human lies dead, mutilated, at the doorstep. Solis stands with a bloody wing and bloodier talons a short distance away.
"...They've taken it too far..." He growls.

It's just you.


"Tirra, Victus. Here, you would be the only ones among yourselves to bow to me..." Gaia says. "Unlike your mother, I only belong to those of life and earth."

 

"That is a really big cloud of smoke. Come on!"
He heads towards the fire.

 

"Aj?" Artemis asks, sliding down a vine to the floor.

"Oh, there you are Artemis. I was just looking for you since we're going to go help Gaia now."

"I've been looking after Avis. I don't think she's been eating, nor left here really." Artemis says.

"Ihra and Stephanie are looking for you, I should probably go tell them you're alright." I say.

"I can come with you. Avis is asleep, and I don't think anyone will be entering here." Artemis says.

Artemis and I leave the cryogenics lab, heading toward the garden.


"Then we shall do our best to make you proud of us in this upcoming battle." Victus says.

 

Ihra's just coming back in.
"Oh, good."


Gaia nods.
"Consider stopping by the meditation room. You will know when the enemy has returned."

Anne runs after you.
"H-hey! Slow down a bit!"
