Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"That sounds like literally the most unpleasant experience for us, but sure." I say.

 

I give the sting a nice tug.

 

"Then go on your own. Strength talks there."

It doesn't move much.

 

"Did that smoke come from your room? There was some in the hallway"

 

Right, I'm gonna leave. Or at least attempt to leave.

 

You get a fair distance before you feel like you hit the end of a tether line.
"You want me to cut that, don't you?"

"Yes, it got out when you opened the door!"

 

"I see. I was just...worried. I'll see you later"

 

"Bye!"
It's probably something to worry about, but you know better than try to argue with her.

You figure you have time for one more quick task before nightfall.

 

Before nightfall, I return to the stables to feed and care for Nemmek

 

He seems to have been pacing about, but calms down once you tend to him.

 

"Not a snack. Also.. why is it always that Ziz?!"

 

"Because she hates us!"
"If you try and eat me, it will be the last thing you do, you miserable excuse for a lady!"
"Don't make me drop you, fox."

 

"Yes, please don't drop us." He looks worried.
"But why does that Ziz hate dragons? I thought she was just lazy and gets angry when she gets forced to do something."

 

"I think you're missing the point of us being together, Ihra." I say.

 

"Good boy, you've done well today."

I give him an apple and return to my rooms

 

"Yes please."

 

"I don't know, but we hate her for it."
"Yeah, we got that far..." Anne mumbles, quiet enough for only you to hear.

Once you get back, things are quiet again.
The bread seems to have been warmed up again, and Wesley also left you a glass and a pitcher of ice water.

"Then why are you talking about distancing yourself?"

She smiles.
"Will you give me something for it?"

 

"Great. So there's hate on both ends."

 

"Yeah, that doesn't help, does it? Our problem is that it's been ongoing."

 

"I do not know what to do about it. I can't challenge her, I'd lose."
