Ihra giggles.
"See, it was okay! Problem solved, and everyone's happy!"
Pause.
"...Well, here, at least. I should probably get back to the front lines." She sighs.

 

"Good luck." Lielia says.

 

"Yeah, rather not have that." He follows him.

 

Ihra smiles.
"Thanks."
She waves before opening and leaving through a twilight portal, closing it soon after.


Amethyst lays down in front of Bea's cell, waiting.

The hill is slippery, Siln's claws the only thing keeping him from sliding down.
Maybe you should just wait in his cave for now...

 

The cell appears to have already opened, Bea running out and hugging Amethyst.

 

Amethyst hugs her back.
"Are you okay"

 

"Yes, I'm fine now." Amethyst feels.

 

Amethyst hugs Bea a bit tighter.


Ihra links with you again.
"Okay, people are happy again. Are you about ready to go bring more friends to meet miss Gaia?"

 

"I was thinking about sending the elite guardians to protect Stephanie this time. I don't want to get shot with artillery again." I say.

 

"Well, we're going to be inside this time. Also, you made yourself a really really literally big target."

 

He heads back inside, not saying anything. He sits down, waiting.

 

"I thought I already was, which is why the Hive Master gets scared whenever I'm in your realm, because he knows I'll come to mess up his stuff if he annoys me?" I ask.

 

"No, I mean you went all giant, I was told. You literally made yourself a large target."

Siln winds up coming back with a teal-scaled dragoness with feathery wings.
"You kids need a flight, hmm?" She asks.
Siln sighs, too tired to speak his thoughts.

 

"Oh, yeah I did." I say.

 

"Well, either way. You'll be inside. Inside protects you from most sides. Well... we'll be inside. Will you bring a few more friends to meet Gaia this time?"

 

I take a few seconds to process what she said.
"Wait, what?"

 

"Just the elites, really. They're all guardians of each type so I'm sure Gaia would like to meet them. Stephanie might want to meet Gaia, I'm not sure." I say.

 

"Yes we do."
He looks at the dragoness.

 

"My father gouged my eyes out, and no doctor would come help me because I looked different. Mother was a glassblower, and made me glass eyes so the doctors would see me."

She's taller than Siln and has a longer tail, though is skinnier and doesn't look quite as well-fed.
"Well, when do we leave?"

"You're not going to let Katie meet her?"

 

"Katie's missing." I say.
