Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Amethyst has a caretaker who is currently in prison for shooting Artemis. She shot Artemis because Amethyst recognized Artemis as someone who destroyed her home to forcefully take something in her domain." Ihra explains. "Do you now understand why I asked those two prerequisite questions?"

 

"Think we should search for him or do you think it might be to late?" He looks worried.

 

"Yes...I understand." I say.

 

"...Sure."

 

"Now, the king and queen of light fear that you would be furious about this. I really don't want you to be mad at them again..." Ihra says.

"I... really don't know. I want to leave now, but I just got back from fighting the fire. I need rest, and one night might be one night too long..." He says, stressed.

 

"Eh, I'd only be a little mad if nothing was done about it, but she's locked up, isn't she?" I say.

 

"My eyes were gouged out by my father. Mother made me glass eyes so people weren't always scared of me."

"I was hoping you would pardon her. She's Amethyst's caretaker, after all... and I think you know what could happen if a headless draconian wanders through a big city."

 

"It is tough. I think it is best if we search today. As you said: 'one night might be one night too long.'."

 

"Tell them I believe she's deserving of a pardon. Ultimately though, it's in their realm of decision." I say.

 

Siln sighs.
"...If you trust me, I'll try and make the flight back. If not, you may want to ask around and see if anyone else who isn't tired can head over."

"Thanks Aj!" Ihra says happily.

Ihra turns to the guard, handing them the tether.
"I should tell your king and queen the good news! No hard feelings, and the shadow king said he thinks Amethyst's caretaker is deserving of a pardon!"

 

"Oh, that's good." The guard says.

Bea looks hopeful.

 

"I asked Artemis that if someone destroyed her home and took what was there, would she shoot someone." She says, turning to Bea.
"She said yes, and they both realized why what happened, happened. It'll all be up to your king and queen from here."

Ihra turns back to the guard.
"Any objections to me recalling to the throne room?"

 

"No, none at all." The guard says.

"Thank you." Bea whispers.

 

Ihra winks at Bea, recalling and tapping her staff on the throne room floor.
"Hello again!"

 

The royalty glances at Ihra.

"Oh, hello again." Solus says, still stressed.

 

"Hey, don't be stressed! Tada, no hard feelings! No resentment, no anger, and the king even said he thinks that Amethyst's caretaker should be pardoned!" Ihra says happily. "That last bit is up to you, though."

 

"Then she's pardoned." Lielia says, getting up from her throne.

"Yes, no hard feelings, and Amethyst's caretaker is pardoned. Done." Solus says, seeming relieved.

 

"I trust you. But you need to be the one to know if you can make it there or not."

 

Ihra smiles.
"Do you feel better now?" She asks, still smiling.

He nods.
"...I'm not sure. I'll talk to a neighbor or two. I don't want to fall out of the sky and bring you down with me." He sighs, turning and heading up the mountain a bit.

 

"Yes. I'm so relieved we didn't anger the Shadow King." Solus says.
