Oh, so that’s what happens when I try to do more interesting things in combat than just swing away with Booming Blade. A wasted turn and taking some damage. At least I stopped it from doing... what, exactly? Hanging out in an area where it can’t hit any other party members?

 

I'm sorry, but I'm trying to be realistic. It would realistically try to shake you off, and rolled a 21 for its acrobatics check.

To be fair, if it failed at shaking you off, you would have had advantage on your next attack against it.

I know, you were trying to do something cool and I kind of slapped you in the face. I'm sorry, but I'm trying to be fair here.

How did it roll a 21? What is this thing’s Dexterity modifier?

 

Oh, my bad. I miscalculated. I thought it had a +2 DEX, but it has a -1.

Either way, it rolled a 19. An 18 still throws you off.

(Alice and Kinte both have +2 DEX I think, so I accidentally applied it to other creatures as well XD)

 

Actually, throwing off is always Athletics, not Acrobatics. Either way, it succeeds.

 

BTW, does Yevor provoke an attack of opportunity in his current position?
