We may know the variable, we just need to know what it does.

He said we could roll luck to find them, but that's probably just a normal d20. However, it could be a luck stat or something, as it's based on getting lucky/unlucky.

It was an attack roll for me. However, if it gives an increase to the stats the character got a NAT 20 in, then that would be too hard to track (Also, a permanent +1 to attack rolls may be a bit OP).

It's probably generalized, if I were to guess.

Yeah, so NAT 20s increase it and NAT 1s decrease it. In Heat's case, 19s on attack rolls also increase it.

Why does Heat get an increase on 19s?
